Do You Name Your Basses???

Fealach, mine seem to have that too! I do name mine, well, more accurately, people name them.
Fender Jaguar: "Jimmi"
Epiphone Explorer bass: "Kelsey" (I asked for people to name it on facebook, and my girlfriend said her name first, so....)
Jay Turser: My Nate's Bass(It's my bass, and my friend nate put a huge amount of time into painting it with this amazing hand brushed design, so people have started calling it "your nate's bass")

My only named gear so far is "Tracy" (my Trace Elliott amp), named so by my (then) band. When you drag a heavy girl like her around to gigs, you gotta give her a name

Apart from that, I only feel like naming things I've actually made myself. My Aria Pro II which has my own custom paint-job I named "The Dragoncaster", since it has a dragon painted on it.

I do......the black-p, the white-p, the blue-p, the yellow-p, the alembic, the jazz, the peavey, the vox, the warwick, the ovation, the ibenez.........the five string etc.

I call my Sandberg "Sandy", but I think that's because it's an abbreviation and not as a specific boy/girl name.

Similarly when I had a Rickenbacker 4001 it was "Rick".

I don't have names for either of my Fenders, I just refer to them as "the Jazz" and "the Precision"

I've referred to my T-40 as "the heavy ************".

Also, my vintage white and green SX that a fellow TBer said reminded him of salad... so I refer to it as "the iceberg".

I occasionally played my old singer's Sterling that had the word "GIMPY" in big block letters on the case. I always referred to it as such.

I refer to them by their manufacturer.... Though the Hagstrom generally gets abbreviated to "Hag".

Maybe if I had more of them I'd have to assign names.
