Dumb CL Ad's pt 5, Dumbester and Dumberest

Yep...

Let's Rock n Roll. (Wilkes-Barre)
Greetings fellow musicians!
Let's get down to brass tax here. I'm a 19 year old vocalist, been screaming and singing since I was about 12. I suck at guitar, not very consistent on drums, and I'm not one for playing bass or the keys either. So you see the dilemma. I'm fairly new to the area, I moved up from South Florida in August, and down there, we had a sick music scene. Up here in NEPA, I haven't seen much for local shows. There's got to be a couple people out there looking to jam and get something going.
I have fronted for a couple bands over the years, and I've done guest vocals for a couple bands. I have also managed and did live audio for plenty of shows.
I write very often. So I've got lyrics out the wazoo. I'm very open to sounds.
What I'm interested in getting together is a couple bands (or just one) in either or all of the following "styles": Pop-Punk, Alternative, Metalcore, Deathcore, Acoustic Punk, Post-Hardcore, Post-Rock...etc.
Somewhere in the ballpark of sounds reminiscent of: New Found Glory, Senses Fail, Silverstein, Whitechapel, Chelsea Grin, The Devil Wears Prada, The Acacia Strain, Emmure, Norma Jean, Early June, Fero Lux, Anthony Green, Bayside, Freshman 15, We Butter The Bread With Butter, and tons more.
I am looking for ladies or gents in my age group, from 15 to 23. Leave the Egos aside. Hell, let's do a Reservoir Dogs thing...don't even give me your name to start off...Call yourself Mr. White, Mr. Orange, Mr. Green, Mr. Purple, Mr. Pink, Ms. Grey, Ms. Yellow, Ms. Blue...whatever. Let's talk and see what we can get going.
E-mail me as Mr. Wolf.
Let's have some fun!

Hello, my name is Greg, i recently moved back to the scranton area, after living and gigging in Colorado for the last 13 years. I play a homemade electric hot rod washboard! I'm interested in finding some cool people to jam with and maybe gig out. i've pioneered my own style of washboardigng over the last ten years with a mountain bluegrass band out of Colorado called Hunker Down Bluegrass, I have well over 500 live shows under my belt and many more jam sessions with national touring acts. I'm not limited to bluegrass, as i am into many other styles, my washboard has a unique sound that blends well in most settings, so email me if sounds like something you might be into.

Eh, maybe we're just ignorant about the finer details of the lost artistry of washboard playing. :p

"London is Calling"?!? "Holly came from Miami f.l.a." ?!? You're supposed to audition for homie, and he's not even sure of the correct song titles? That'll be a fun afternoon...

Haha, +1. Anybody who knows anything about the Spin Doctors knows that the name of the song is Jimmy Olsen's Blues. Maybe he wants you to do that song by The Who called Teenage Wasteland too. :p

And he wants a band with a heavy euro look that does Spin Doctors and Joni Mitchell? LMAO

Come get me out of my hotel room, please. I can't spell, but I can drummmm. (not sure if this is a real ad or a spoof)

Im a drummer by birth, its by far my strongest talent. I can play guitar and bass, but not strong enough to hold up in a band just yet. Ive been a drummer sense i was 3, and im now 28. Im a metalhead by nature, but ive played everything from all forms of metal and rock, to country and bluegrass all the way to classical. If your needing a druummer, and a skilled one with no big egos please hit me up guys. I have band an gig experience. I have 4 drumsets, 9 guitars and a small pevey vocaal PA with 2 12z and one 15in monitor. I have also fronted 2 different metal bands, i can sing very well, and scream bvery dirty if needed, vocaly my influences range from 1970's hard rock to moderen metal and rock bands. Slipknot, pantera, Lamb of God, Godsmack, Led Zeplin, Ozzy, Zack, Manson Nails, im a unique singer, and have a very indentifiable voice, i have no egos, or drug or alcohol issues. If you wanna start one up, or add me in please email me. Right now im living in a motel at Adams and Lebrea in LA, I wanna crawl up and out, and be part of a machine that makes great music. PLEASE SOMEBODY hit me up, I dont want to go back to the midwest! I was in the Army for 10 years, Im now out and have came here, the scene in the midwest is slow, its there and around, but so is the corn and the amish!!! Please, im a very serious musician, and dedicated, and sober, i have music online ive recorded, and can proly even dig up up some gig footage. Either spot, Drummen or Fronten, Ill giove 100% every practice, gigg, and or recording session. I also write Outlaw country music, along the ,lines of Hank III David Allen Jonny Cash ect ect. I just want to play and collaborate, and write some music, be behind a drum set, or a mic...i wanna contribute something to music! Its in my blood and genes, except the army, the only thing ive been good at is music! Hit me up! If anyone feels the need, im in room 32 at the Adams Garden Inn....please come bail me out and get things moving!!!! My name is Dave, I'm 19 years old, I'm a lead guitarist, and I'm looking to form a four piece metal band (such as Megadeth). If you are not a serious musician who is looking for a career in music, don't bother reading the rest of this post.

I'm looking for another lead guitarist (at my skill level), a bassist, and a drummer. One of us will have to take the liberty of singing.

Here is a link to a low quality demo of one of my songs. Do not contact me before listening to it.

Self-Loathing Bass Player Wanted Classic Rock (Austin)

LET ME START BY SCREAMING AT YOU IN ALL CAPS THAT YOU MUST INCLUDE YOUR NAME, PHONE NUMBER, SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER AND THE PASSCODE TO THE BURGLAR ALARM AT YOUR GIRLFRIEND'S HOUSE. WILL NOT ANSWER UNLESS ALL IS SUBMITTED CORRECTLY IN AP STYLE AND STANDARD.

The genre of music is 30-40 years old, which should tell you something about our age and maturity level. We're looking for a bass player submissive and simple enough to never get in the way of our ferocious twin guitar attack, but still able to play the bass lick on Tom Sawyer (not that we'll ever actually play that song - it's just a test and to remind you of your place in the pecking order). If you happen to like any other style of music, HERE'S A LAUNDRY LIST OF NEGATIVITY THAT'S SURE TO CONVINCE YOU THAT WE ARE A BUNCH OF DOUCHES.

You must be willing to make a commitment to not flinch when people start laughing and leaving when our pudgy middle aged guitarist whips out "Eruption" while wearing a sleeveless Def Leppard tshirt, at the small-town spring festival trailer stage. Oh, here's some more negativity about how hard it is to fit in with this bunch. Yes, you must be perfect in every way, and be healthy - AIDS test and pap smear required.

Foremost, you must be willing to cling to the delusion that we'll be able to conquer the world by playing covers of 40 year old tunes and gradually work up to playing our original tunes, written in a similar 40 year old style that's not really popular these days. And you must never listen to any voice of reason that might realize that very few musicians in this town are making any significant money, and that all this talk about touring is never going to happen because we're too old to quit our jobs and go sleep in a van together. We will each know the truth that this is just a mid-life crisis hobby thing, but that MUST REMAIN UNSPOKEN AT ALL TIMES. We will speak to one another about the CAUSE of THE ROCK with Jack Black bravado. LONG LIVE THE ROCK, BRO!

Okay. . . a little more negativity. . . and. . . MUST BE WILLING TO ACCEPT THE FACT THAT WE WILL RECRUIT BAND MEMBERS BY POSTING ADS ON CRAIGSLIST FULL OF NEGATIVITY AND OBVIOUS SELF-LOATHING. SURE, THESE WON'T GET A LOT OF RESPONSE, BUT WE'LL REPOST THEM INCESSANTLY, JUST LIKE WE DID A FEW MONTHS BACK. AND LAST YEAR. NEVERMIND THAT OUR AD WILL BECOME A TIRED JOKE - WITH PERSEVERANCE WE WILL FIIND SOMEONE AS SMALL-MINDED AS WE ARE.

LONG LIVE THE ROCK!
