Dunwich Amplification General Discussion

Not True. The OG VT is much more renowned for keeping more low end retention than its 125 counterpart. Still a great pedal, much sizzle. Just might need a little help with a blender or something.
I agree. I've had multiple VTs in both 125b and OG enclosures. I like the OG VT better. The OG VT through a Bloop is amazerballs!

Speaking of older Dunwhich pedals...anyone know what the switches do specifically for the Olde Dirty Bass? I've watched pretty much every review I can find and have been reading whatever I can find also and nothing talks about the switches. I use my ears to set things how I like, but would be good to know what those settings actually represent. There are 2 switches on the ODB. The one on the left seems to be a clipping selector or related to the voice of the gain/OD...not really sure on the other one (not really sure on the left one either).

I seem to recall one being a diode and one being a bass or mid adjustment. I think some were released with 2-position switches and others had 3-position switches. I had one with 2-position switches, but it was a while back.

Running the Hilbish dirt into the 120 today. Kinda liking the sounds. The 120 is a much different “pre” than the Sol. The compressor sounds noticeably different going into it, but I was able to EQ things to work.

Sunn and Matamp tone is a match made in hell. I run my neck pickup into a Burning Sunn and a Sunn 2x15" IR and my bridge pickup into a DA120 and a Matamp 1x15" IR. The sound is huge. Still toying around with what IRs sound best, but so far I am really happy with this combination.

Also, looks like Nick is making an amp or helping out with an amp design...

Yea I designed that when I was bored over the last few months but I don't exactly want to build the entire thing up so I will just populate the board and hand it off to a friend who is another builder to verify it out.

I am planning on doing two free DIY projects that I will make available within the next month or so. Just need to verify them and then people can freely build the projects.
No plans to build anything for people before anyone asks.

I spent more than a year away from building mostly occupying my free time with my kids/wife and the occasional video game. Now that I am up with my fill on video games I plan on doing some small projects mostly for myself but also stuff like free DIY as well. This will not be under a specific banner or brand.
