Electro-Harmonix Bass Big Muff

i just got mine today and i think, in normal mode, it sounds pretty much as close any two big muffs can when compared to my 90's Green Big Muff. using the same settings i got almost the exact same sound from both pedals. Normal mode works fine for me, but dry mode could show some useful things. The bass boost mode is just to much for me.

I GOT ONE I GOT ONE I GOT ONE WOOOO!

the poor early demos had discouraged me, and I wound up getting an El Grande because I ran across one sooner. Well, that one is up for grabs now (here and elsewhere) because the BBM has exceeded my expectations.

It compares very favorably with the sound of every other muff I've ever used, except the tone knob is is more useful for bass!

I'm especially enthusiastic about the "dry" mode. A blend knob might have been nice... but maybe somebody will come up with a mod for that?

I agree on all counts. It actually works great on a guitar, when dialed in right.

Is that true? I was under the impression that the ratio between wet/dry was fixed and the volume controlled only the overall volume.

Yes, the when in dry mode the volume acts as a mix. If you dial it all the way down, you have your clean signal and you're pretty much at unity gain. As you dial it up, it adds more and more fuzz and volume to your signal.

It's a fantastic pedal, and if people aren't impressed with the video clips they should try one in person.
