Dovetail? Way too much for me. Screws & PL premium. Looks good though. I can tell you are a much better woodworker than me. Glad mine are done now that the neo prices are through the roof. Good luck with the cab.

It's not a big enough size sacrifice that you'd be causing a huge upper bass hump.
It would not be a fEarful, so be careful about calling it that. But it would house a 3015LF adequately.
* I've used it in boxes as small as 3cf per woofer - it doesn't sound great that small.
It would be similar except under 100hz where you'd lose a little bit.
I'd recommend doing a headcase on top of that box instead of reducing the volume any further by adding an inside box. Also, make sure the box is braced -- chances are good if it's an old box it won't be.
If you do it this way, you can always build a fEarful sub later and not have to redo anything.
I would like to find the plans to build Greenboy's headcase to augment a (modified)Carvin BR115. Do you know where to find them? I searched Greenboy's site but couldn't find them. Thanks.

You can build it from your own plan as dimensions aren't critical for the mid and/or tweeter. If you plan on using a conventional mid such as a 6nd410 or Alpha 6, you need to build a chamber of some sort for that. You can get the chamber dimensions from the fEarful plans. If using a closed back mid, just mount it on the same baffle as your tweeter if using one.
edit; Well there ya go. Charlie gave you all the info you need.
