Fender Rumble Club

First, my apologies if this has been covered somewhere in the 2500+ pages.

Recently scored a Rumble100 for an excellent price as part of a package deal (Squier VM Jazz, Gator soft case, Rumble)

How does the Rumble 100 do if asked to be a stage monitor only?

We always play with PA support and I have an amp onstage because I like to hear an amp next to me.

I've done that. Works great.

Hey, there, mikie! @mike57, you are now member #1518 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome. Please put that number in your TalkBass Signature for safe keeping. Then make yourself at home here and on your Rumble Club Wiki page, the repository of all Rumbling wisdom and knowledge.

Yes, using a Rumble 100 for a stage monitor is a perennial discussion here. The answer, of course, is that it depends! Venue acoustics, Rumble placement, other instruments/amps, drummer "enthusiasm" and many other variables can all "make or break" such plans. It can work quite splendidly when enough of those variables cooperate. Otherwise, you may wish you had the 200 (or 500), with or without an extension cab! It should be tried with your own situation(s) to find out for sure. Sorry.

Hey, mikie, how about telling us a bit about yourself, such as your bass experience in general and your Rumble journey in particular? No matter your experience, you'll fit right in here, since we have all kinds. But we all love to ... ... ...

Rumble On!

... .... After considering other alternatives, many of which just seemed too expensive for what I needed, I decided to give the Rumble 25 a try. It is wonderfully light. I can carry it, a bass and a stand in one trip. ... ... ... Does my little guy qualify me for a number?

It mos' definitely do! Welcome to the Fender Rumble Club @MCF :woot:

While I'm thinking about it, I don't see where I was assigned a number when I posted about my little Rumble 25. I'm loving it by the way. Perfect for tossing in the the back of the Subie with one of my basses when I'm on the road for work.

Sorry, Rumble #802, didn't see your original post. The 25 is a sweet little practice amp. I've actually used mine on one acoustic church gig. But, Rumble on anyway.

MC, I apologize for overlooking your member number #802 in your Rumble Membership List and attempting to issue you another number just now.

Please put that number in your TalkBass Signature for safe keeping!

Now, ... ...

Rumble On!

Hey @PillO,
Check out the drums
In Nikki’s new video.

There's a thread asking what's your favorite home amp, so I thought I'd share it here, too. This is my R40 serving as my practice amp, playing along with songs via the aux in, through headphones. It's perfect for this, and as many have said here it's great for playing with people when I don't have to get over a drummer. The light weight blows people away, too. The R500c and R115 are undercover in the background. Love those Rumbles!

Here's where MrB posted this in that "other thread", in case anybody wants to go like it there, as I did.

Well, I've gigged the 500 several times, and Sunday night I had a rock show so I added the traynor neo 15" cab. I had the vol at about 8 oclock, in a large club, gain about same. It rained down thunder. I was really surprised. I thought it was even a bit loud, but the sound guy said all good. No FOH support required. Great amp, very happy with the purchase.

I do not recall, nor have I found, any complaints in this regard. Most posts in the linked search on "800+fan+noise" are about the Rumble Stage 800 combo and that it, too, is not noisy.

I hope this helps you.
.

Thanx, I ready them so for that I asked being not interested in the combo and being not sure the hardware is the same in the two models. Do you own a non combo version, correct? Thanx again
