Fender Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800

Hi Guys, I also posted this in the Main Rumble Club hope that's ok?
Looking through the options on my Rumble LT25 i notice that the presets from 30 to 50 are empty, yet the reviews and manual state that you can replace any of the original 30 with the extra ones, but mine all say EMPTY. SW version is v2.1.4

This is the right place for Rumble modeling amp questions, Pilon.

Per the manual, page 3 ... ...

@Pilon69 The Empty presets (31 - 60) are where you can either download and save presets made by others, modify existing presets in 1-30, or create your own presets using a mix of amps/cabs/features available on the amp. They are empty to allow you to create and save new amps/sounds.

Hi RL5, that's great but any idea how i find the 31 to 50 as posted by G-Dog?
I really would like to try the Ancient Mariner one, i'm guessing its a Steve Harris sound clone.
It would be great to find the settings so i could input them myself, but according to the manual they should already be somewhere in the amp ?

G-Dog or others are likely better sources of info for that. I have a Studio 40 & a Stage 800. The only way I know of to fill presets is to download them from the online Tone Community, as described by G-Dog on the previous page, or to modify or create new ones as I previously mentioned. Perhaps the model you are looking for is available in the online Tone Community.

You use the "Replace" function as described on page 7 of your manual to access the extra 31 to 50 presets listed on page 3. It appears that you can save #44, Ancient Mariner, for example, into any of the 1 thru 50 slots, if you wish.

Try it and see. Then please let us know here how it goes.

Sorry to be a pain but this is driving me mad.
The problem I have is that the replacement numbers only go upto 30 so i can only replace 1 to 30 with tones 1 to 30 number, numbers 31 to 50 nowhere to be seen, 44 does not exist anywhere!
and on the computer app anything from 30 upwards is empty.

Have you gone to the Replace function? What happens after you go to the Replace function? Perhaps you can choose the #44 slot then?

The Replace function numbers only go to 30. I can replace the preset 1 to 30 but only with numbers 1 to 30, seems a bit daft to replace them with the same 30 presets, I know I can tweak them and give them new names but that’s not what I want to do. I want my missing ones.
A printout of the missing ones parameters would be good but I can’t find those anywhere either. Nice one fender!!
I know they said that they are hidden, but c’mon where are they hiding them? The Mariana Trench :bored:

Can you change something on one of your 1-30 and then Save it to 31? If so, then do that. Then try the Replace again and see if the 31-50 are available to save to 31.

Nope nothing above 30 available as a replacement, i can save a preset above 30 or create a new on that's all.

Perhaps it's time to contact Fender Tone Support to see if they can try to walk you thru it to verify the problem. Before filling out that form, though, try clicking the "Contact Us" button at the bottom of the page a few times to see if you can chat with someone right away.

Makes you wonder if you might be better with just a "normal" amp with the usual EQ settings.

I have a Combo 200 and have no problem dialing in the sound I want. I also have a Studio 40 and, after a lot of time playing around with all the various presets and customizations, settled on the same sound EQ settings as the 200.

In other words, I would have been happy with a standard Rumble 40 Combo for practice.

These are just my conclusions. Others may find its fun and/or productive to play with models and software upgrades. YMMV...

Pilon! The March 2020 firmware update changed the extra 20 presets to only be available through the Tone Desktop app! Plus+, it adds another 10 preset slots so you get a total of 60, instead of just 50. Give that a try! :woot:

I got this info from How do I update the Firmware on the Rumble LT amplifier? · Customer Self-Service

Thanks for all your help G-Dog, yeah you're right about the update, that's the version i'm running, 60 slots instead of 50, but still no hidden patches, i've contacted fender, and the shop i bought it from, just waiting to hear back from them.
its not a deal breaker, i just like things to work as advertised, maybe its a sign to buy the studio 40 ;)

Oops, maybe you haven't read my recent post...

Did you try using the Desktop Tone App to look for the extra 20 presets? I haven't found a manual or webpage describing the Desktop Top Tone App, just that there are Mac (iOS) and Windows versions. There's an instructional Desktop Tone App Video linked here* and on the Rumble Wiki Page, in the middle of the Tone App Support section.

I found 3 different places linking to the Rumble LT25 manual, but none of them have been updated beyond the page 3 & 7 parts I posted about using Replace to access the extra 20 presets (which is wrong!). :rollno:

Edited to add: Yes! The Desktop Tone App video DOES talk about accessing the extra presets!

Attention: Rumble Club Wiki Edit Alert!

Thank you, @Pilon69! Your questions about adding the extra 20 presets to your Rumble LT25 prompted me to add some Rumble LT25 links to the Rumble Club Wiki page in the Fender Tone App Support section, where some basic links were missing. I added links for getting the Desktop Tone App to update firmware, seeing Update Release Notes and the update that MOVED the 20 extra presets from the "Replace" function to the Desktop Tone App.

Thank you, Pilon, for your questions! :smug:

I want to use Studio as a preamp/fx processor only. For sake of transport ease I want to take head out of combo body and connect XLR Line Out to PA Line In?
Can Studio work without internal speakers?
(I guess it can like any solid state amp, but will preferably have second statement : ) )
