Fender Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800

That's one of my goals, to generate such a list. As long as @Droopy_TX doesn't mind me copying and pasting his work when there's overlap, I'll post it as I go. I'm most interested in getting experienced players to fill in the gaps to equate tone names with the bands that inspired them, but I suspect most of you guys opted for the Studio 40 or higher so that might be challenging.

Excellent, JAC0! I'm sure @Droopy_TX would be agreeable to your using his templates as a foundation for extending that facility to the LT25, wouldn't you, Droo?

We've been getting quite a few Rumble LT25 owners recently, so this is an idea whose time has come. And, perhaps even us Stage & Studio owners can spot a word or phrase that might help "decode" something. My own favorite preset "codenam" on the Stage & Studio is #56 "Rubber Soul Fuzz", which is SO obviously (to me), meant to be McCartney's groundbreaking fuzz bass on the song "Think for Yourself".
.

No worries at all. That's why they're there.
Please, feel free to leverage them.
Thanks! It's actually looking like there's not that much overlap, which I guess isn't too surprising given the fundamental differences between the units, so I shouldn't have to plagiarize too much. It will mean I'm guessing on quite a lot, though, so hopefully the community will be able to fill in the gaps.

Don't worry about plagiarizing anything. Droo created those lists & templates out of a sincere desire to help others!

We'll try to help you where we can, JAC0! That's the reason for this separate Rumble bass modeling sub-thread of the main Club, we talk about things the non-modeling Rumblers don't understand. Well, we Stage & Studio owners may not understand the LT25, but we can sure try to help with similar concepts.

Heck, there's still a lotta stuff about the Stage & Studio I don't understand. Luckily, I got friends here to help me! ;)

Ok, here's revision 1 of the Fender Rumble LT25 Presets Decoder, as ordered in the Fender Tone App, rather than the amp itself. I've preserved the @Droopy_TX style and nomenclature, and shamelessly copied a handful of amp and FX demos. There isn't that much overlap, as I suspected. I invite comments, questions and corrections - no ego to bruise, so please point out my mistakes.

On a personal note to potential buyers, I rather suspect accomplished bassists will tire of and outgrow the limitations of the amp rather quickly, and strongly suggest you consider the Studio 40 instead. This really is more of a beginner's amp, for newbies like me.

I’ve been working on a pedalboard and kind of ignoring updates to the Studio 800 effects, but I just saw the Memory Man delay has been added, and that it has a chorus/tremolo option on it. I’ve been GASing for the MXR Carbon Copy, and it seems like I should be able to get something close to that with this effect.

Anyone here have that pedal and able to verify if this effect can get pretty close to it?

Hello all,

I have spent about a week silently reading this forum when trying to find a new bass amp that would suit me. Thanks to all of you I was convinced to get the Rumble Stage 800 and its Extension Cab. After doing two shows with it so far, I've gotta say I am being happy with my new sound (previously using a markbass rig). The ability to switch what I sound like on the fly and at the drop of a hat is invaluable to me. Attached are some pictures of my new current rig. I look forward to chatting with everyone !

Stage 800 + matching 2x10 extension cab, nice! You’re leaving nothing in the bag with that setup!! Congrats and welcome!

Looks AMAZING!! I have the same set-up, but with a Fender NEO 115 (15')....I can't complain but my neighbors can! :-)

Thank you very much! I did these first gigs without the extension (curse you shipping times) and I have to say I was plenty surprised with how loud just the combo itself was.

I can barely run it with sound when I'm home (apartment life) but I bet the 115 expands the sound so much in such a great way. I would love to try it one day.

Wow! T! Your amp selection is enhanced even greater by your bass selections!!! Again, leaving no tone uncovered, you definitely have it all!

Reese, how about showing this off in the main Fender Rumble Club thread and officially joining us there, too?

Thanks, G-Dog et al!

This is some great info. I will look into this.

I have and love my Rumble 40 V3. I use it every day.

I split time between two locations and only have a Blackstar Fly 3 and amplug at the other location. I may upgrade my primary home amp to the Studio 40 and shift the rumble 40 V3 to the other location.(sell the Blackstar)

interested in the additional tones that I can get out of modeling amp. The fact that the Studio 40 has a built in looper is great. I did not know that.

I will report back on my decision.

Best

So after much consideration, I went and traded in my Blackstar fly3 for a simple gently used Rumble 25v3. My wife bought me that Blackstar for a travel amp, but even with the new extension it sounded toylike. I considered the Studio 40 and even another standard Rumble 40v3 like I have at home,
I could not rationalize paying any additional money for a practice amp. I was surprised by the tone and volume from an 8” speaker-not too much of a step down from my Rumble 40v3.

The Rumble 25 is plenty loud enough to jam with my 9 and 11 y/o daughters on acoustic guitar and drums. Good times.

Well, that's fine, Bassa. The Rumble 25 is not too much different from the 40, so you'll feel right at home with it.

And you're still welcome to drop in here, in case a Studio 40 might still be in your future. ;)

Just got a Stage 800 today. Its brand spanking new and I did all the setup and it sounds great!

BUUUTTTT, its already gone into protect 4 times. Volume dips out and comes back. I am not doing anything extreme. Just using the presets as they are. Talk to me Goose. Did I get a dud or am I missing something? (A clip light might have been a nice feature.)

FYI: I am experienced with gear and not stupid about how to run an amp and use my ears.
