Fast help needed!
At first sorry about my bad english. My Monarch new standard (2004) pre amp broked out. I have a friend who have Pope Flexcore pre amp. And my question is that is it possible to connect EMG p&j pick up set to Flexcore? I mean that are EMG's kind of active pick ups that need battery power? And how to connect that whole paggage? I'm in big trouble because I have studio time booked and lot's of gigs in short period of time.
Thank god there is talk bass where to get possible help:)

Yes. The flex core has active pickup jumpers on the balancer board which allow you use active pickups like the EMGs. ;) More info here: http://michaelpopedesign.com/images/flexcore_manual.pdf There are several different variations of the flex core preamp, but you should be able to get a working setup quickly. It is very easy to install. I'm sure the fodera veterans have more insight, and can maybe help you troubleshoot the original preamp.

Yes, you can use the flexcore pre with EMGs or other active pickups. It has jumper setting for active pups. You can download the instructions from Mike Pope's website.

Thank you. I was looking the pick up wires and I think there was three cables. One white that have two leads and one red. I was looking Pope web pages and there was only two leads connectible to master unit.
I'm coming crazy because I don't know anything about electronics. I mean if there was problem with neck or some wood work it's been piece of cake to me because I'm schooled luthier but electrics.....
I hope that Flexcore paggage have good installation constructions:)
