G. Gould Club!

Here's mine... I've been so pleased with these... they sound great, the workmanship is fabulous, and they're just beautiful to look at!

If #40 is still available, I'd be grateful for that number, as it has personal significance. Thanks!

Done! Welcome to the club:
#40 - 2112

Also, although I assume anyone reading this would know, just to be clear, I was kidding in my last post.
I’m in charge of numbers only. Taking technical advice from me would not be wise.

I don't have an official number yet, but I am the current owner of bass #1292.

I'm also trying to acquire #1325, but I'm waiting on some funds to free up before that will be possible.

Question for the club and Geoff.. I pulled my Genesis 4 banger out the other day and I got to wondering how the early G. Gould’s were similar or different than the Genesis models? I realize that the Genesis were after Geoff left, but the wood necks of the earliest G. Gould’s seem to be pretty similar.. Anyone have an idea?

Nooooooooooo!!!

Don't worry! It's going to a good home...

...mine! :)

I've actually sold two Modulus basses this year in order to jump over to Gould. I found once I got my GGi4 (#1292) that I preferred Geoff's neck profile significantly over what was on my 2004 FB4. It was only natural to pick up a GGi5 and make the switch away from my now sold 2003 Q5, which had a thicker neck and wasn't my favorite. The slightly extra width and string spacing I think I will be ok with and might even help me out when I need to slap. I still have one Modulus bass left, my FB5, and that one isn't going anywhere. The 34" scale and thinner neck has always been perfect.
