Not quite BUT, I do see another G&L in my future.
Another L-2500 but a CLF in silver with ebony board, glossed neck and vintage frets.![]()

Should G&L ever build a 5 string LB100, I'll buy the first one, provided it isn't one off the glitter finishes.
The metal flake finishes can be a bit over the top. But man, oh man, that Pharaoh Gold Firemist on the L-1000 has made me very wanty.
C'mon, get one. You know you deserve it. Who knows how much longer they'll be available. You only live once.
Not sure it’s name...In fact I’m not sure it’s on the websiteOooo, which silver finish are you getting?![]()

I might be the guy who buys the first one if it IS a metal flake finish!Should G&L ever build a 5 string LB100, I'll buy the first one, provided it isn't one off the glitter finishes.
Yes, 19mm at the bridge, a shade less at the pickups. So the 4 string MFD Humbuckers are spaced at 19MM, right?
Dang it! I wasted time looking up the spelling of TanagraYou were 2 minutes too late, Todd![]()
The flakes are cool but I’m cannot really use those kind of finishes in my work.Ahhhhhhhh, pretty.
I was just wondering if it was the silver flake like @/\/\3phist0 's L-2500. His is the only one I've ever seen and I can't help drooling over it any time he posts a picture of it - or even just mentions it.
I'm a DIEHARD burst fan, as my small collection proves. But there's something special about G&L's metal flake finishes.
In the market for a new bass. I own an L2k, a Precision and a Ray34ca... So. Should I get an L1K like this above or a Jazz bass. I will be looking for diversity in tone as well as settling GAS.
That's cool. Some like them. I an an old school sunburst & tort guy.The metal flake finishes can be a bit over the top. But man, oh man, that Pharaoh Gold Firemist on the L-1000 has made me very wanty.
Me too. All of my basses are bursts (three sunbursts plus a honeyburst and a cherryburst) and the ones that have pickguards are all tort. For that matter, four of the five are also strung with flats. Old school! That's cool. Some like them. I an an old school sunburst & tort guy.
Good, I want an LB500 in tangerine flake !Should G&L ever build a 5 string LB100, I'll buy the first one, provided it isn't one off the glitter finishes.
