Genzler Amplification ! New Genz Benz ?

Getting closer.... The Magellan 800. Clean and Drive preamp channels, Dual slope Contour Filter, a newly refined Active EQ network w/parametric mids and a rear panel feature set you'd expect from previous products.
Are there plans for distribution in Canada? Or would it be order direct?
Thanks.

Okay, since you mention it, I feel compelled to ask: 1) fully parametric? 2) how many mid bands? and 3) I can imagine, but please clarify what you mean by "dual slope contour filter."

Thanks in advance.

And so it begins,.....or should I say the hits just keep on coming! Heck how many great amplifier products can come out all in a years time. Hopefully the Magellan 800 will be out by years end. Just off the top of my head the Bamp, the Subway B800, the Reiner Studio 1200,( and new 700) Ampeg 20T/50T, the Pv amp IF they make it, the Warwick LWA, and I know there's more. The Sonic Farm is coming soon. Wow the more I think about it the more it drives me crazy.......and that's a very short drive! My first few in my short list are the ones I have my eye on.....

Then there's Markbass, Tech21, Acoustic Image, Demmeter, etc. too many to keep track of.

The EQ network offers a LF and H shelving filter. We are using a single mid band parametric filter -- selectable form 150Hz to 3K Hz. Our Contour network offers 2 selectable response slopes (A or B) either of which are adjustable from flat to full with a Contour Control. Both Slopes are dramatically different from each other and together cover a complete scope of tonal options within this feature----before EQ.
I hate to use terms like modern to classic but as we get a little closer I can get deeper into the detail of how these work and interact with the CLEAN and DRIVE channels.

I'll tell you, I just couldn't get happy with the genz 3 band as but, loved the sm eq. A 4 band semi parametric is the way to go. Tube preamp. 1 backspace or shuttle size. The contour and boost controls are ok but, I think the smart money is just to have a full feature as to begin with and skip all the other stuff. I'm sure this head will be good though.

Jeff,

I too live in Brooklyn(Bay Ridge), if you need a tester for your gear let me know. Joking. But I have been a long time supporter of GB I still have a Shuttlemax 900, and Streamliner 900. I'll be looking to part with my cab for one of your new ones when the funds come around.

Alright.....We could meet at the LaBella Strings Guitar shop and showroom on 34th st. We have some of our cabs there along with some other fine bass amp companies. I'd be happy to run through our products with you.

..........man I hate this G4 phone. Sorry about all the type errors guys. Oh yeah, if you buy one of these paper weights, be aware that even if you buy the insurance, best phone case and glass screen protector, if it malfunctions on you, you get sent a re-conditioned phone which could be older than the one that crapped out and they won't pay for your screen protector. Great customer service......

Im sure the new amp will be great. Im glad that you went with that line array cab too.

Mesa D800, The cab sounded great with this amp.

Aguilar tonehammer . I don't like that amp at all.. Its not my thing. I tried to like it, but my opinion of it remains.. ekkk.

Bergantin B amp. The B amp is interesting . Also Not my thing. The B amp is what i would classify as sterile. Other will say it is accurate.

What I call accurate is my Rack API or Wunder Audio preamp and Crown MA1200 amp .. Different strokes as they say.

What amp did you use?
