Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

A couple minutes with Gunhild reminded me this is not the first I've heard her perform. I may have learned of her here at TB?

You all are an amazing crew.

I've been a huge fan ever since my next door neighbor played me several vids during a break at a house jam over there. I've definitely posted about her before on TB, including in this thread. I can barely imagine what family holiday gatherings must be like in that household!

Both Kirk and Mahavishnu are worth a revisit, I reckon. And Casady / Jorma are always good value.

Jack always seems to have the same bass face, no matter the year.

Having the sort of day one might expect among this merry crew, a foot rest arrives Thursday. It's one of those guitar ones the nobby plinkers use. Reckon it'll help 'till this is figured out.

You might want to check out some more of her vids (and her whole family band), that's only like her 15th instrument or something. And she can and does play three instruments at once, and is also an incredible singer. Still not RRK though, of course...no one is! View attachment 3617544

Thank you for this. My world, in spite of the snow, wind, and grey, grey clouds, is much brighter now!

Here she is with Post-Modern Jukebox:

Nobby plinkers? (By context, I've got a pretty good idea of what's up, but do tell....)

ETA: Good luck with the ol' joints.

It's not just her. If you watch the family band ones, some little sister is playing banjo in one vid, trombone in the next one, and upright bass in the third. The guy who's usually on clarinet rips a solo on violin as casual as can be, then goes back to clarinet or sax like it's nothing.

I like when people do that with languages, too!

It's the lutefisk, I tell you no lye.

Medieval craftsmanship supported by great halls and outstanding musicianship. A tiny example.

This place is a constant reminder of the ol' Robert Louis Stevenson quote:

The world is so full of a number of things, I'm sure we should all be as happy as kings.
