Train travel ... I mean, did you even see the new high speed rail being tested in France? There is absolutely no reason that travel should be an unpleasant experience. Airline crew calls us self-loading cargo. Cruise ships are uninteresting to me because they don't go anywhere. Book a sea passage from Belfast to New York? Those routes are closed to commercial human traffic ...
I pretty much despise driving. Like cars. Hate driving. Hate driving long distance even more. To me, a big car is a BMW 3 series.
All in for lighter-than-air travel. So it takes six days or something to cross the country. Who cares when you've got a berth, a lounge, food service ... a view. How cool is that.

I've seen this normally tame stream flood many times, but I've never before seen it up in my front yard! Saturated in Missouri...
9 to 12 mpg but, if you do the math, cost of travel to and from the airport, airline fees, car rental at your destination, hotel, motel and food costs, gas, extra fees if you want to extend your stay, tips and, of course, relying on someone else's standards of cleaning and disinfection.
You can rent one for a single trip but, here in CA with the fires and need to have an escape pod and a desire for frequent fishing expeditions, it just makes sense to me. YMMV

Scott's bass lessons did a review of one in May 2019.My Ray has seen a lot of domestic and international air miles (as have I, but not all at the same time) in both the original HSC, and a Reunion Blues Continental Voyager. And one might reasonably expect by now I know my way around airports and airlines.
Airlines are "not the same" as they were, owing to a couple million variable well beyond my control. The Reunion Blues still gets the top score from me. If the instrument is going to be destroyed, then they'll have to have done a lot of questionably accidental work to do that with a Reunion Blues.
High on my GAS list is the Gruvgear [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]. One of those means a single checked bag for my bass and all my personal effects for Chicago in November-ish.
Yes, love my Reunion Blues RBX double bass gig bag. No, not, "double bass," but rather two electrics at once. Learned quickly that it's wise to put my two lightest full-size basses in there. Granted, they swim around in there because even my long-scale TUNE is pert tiny.
Packing my largest and heaviest two basses would mean they would fit more snugly, but Oh my aching back!

Is that a V8? Are mountain areas effortlessly traveled?
Mine is a V10 (Ford E450). It is only 24' long so it is comparatively light so it has little problem climbing hills. I can tow up to 7,500 lbs.

Not quite. I've never gotten drilled by a dentist. Never had a cavity. Had an impacted wisdom tooth removed, and a cap applied to a tooth I broke off at football practice. Aside from that, never seen a dentist except for regular cleanings.Going to say all of us on this thread have personal experience with low speed dentist's drills.
It’s been pretty dry here, not a lot of rain. There’s an infestation of caterpillars this year like I’ve never seen. Some trees are covered with them, leaves are being destroyed. Trees are going to die.

Did you have fluoride in the water when you were growing up? I did and it seemed to really make a difference.
I was much the same as you with no cavities till a couple of years ago when I went somewhere new. I wonder if I should have trusted them.
