Got my GK MB Fusion today!!!!

Indeed! In fact, I never even noticed the fan until I used the amp hard in a quiet rehearsal space. It's a noisy little sucker! ...but it must be effective, given its reliability.

I'm not planning to sell my MB-Fusion at this point. I really like the double gain / double master layout for channel-switching. ...and I've never come close to tapping its max output. I do think the 800's have some nice features though, and look forward to giving one a spin once they arrive.

No plans to sell mine. It's a keeper. I really like it on upright, too. Likewise, I've not needed more power and have played some pretty big places with it.
FWIW I bought mine in the U.S. and am using it in Europe. The voltage conversion was quite simple and it's been entirely reliable since. Though I do wish they would make voltage switching a standard feature particularly on micro heads as they are so portable.

I know this is an older thread, but it seems to be the closest thing to a MB Fusion mega thread that there is, so I thought I'd post here. I'm currently watching out my window waiting for FedEx to deliver my Fusion from RMC Audio (great price! $150 less than MF or any of the other online outlets). Can't wait to plug it in and check it out. My main amp is a series I GK 700RB. Hoping to get a similar tone with a little tube complexity.

Yeah, that's weird. They were out of stock when I initially inquired, but got one in stock yesterday. They emailed me and I called in and bought it. I only live about three hours away from them. The bad news is that I have to pay sales tax. The good news is that FedEx ground is an overnight delivery from them, and is free.

Initial impressions:

It has more clarity than my 700RB. That surprised me, as I've always thought of the 700RB as a pretty open and clear amp. The highs seem more emphasized than the 700RB, and I find myself cutting the treble a decent amount, just a bit more than I cut it on the 700RB. So far I haven't discerned much difference between channel A and B, but I've only pushed the gain to noon on each channel. I'll try adding more gain in my next trial.

All in all, it's not that different from my 700RB so far. I'll need to see if I can get some more warmth or harmonic content out of it as I mess with the gain tomorrow. I don't want overdrive, just some added complexity.

Got some more time with the amp this morning. Experimented with higher gain settings and settled on gain about 1:00 to 1:30 on the B channel. A little extra warmth over my 700RB. I also tried out the deep switch, which I thought to he something like the 5 string bass button on the RB amps. I find I like it better off, which was unexpected, as I like the button engaged on my 700RB. I'm playing a p bass with medium gauge Chromes. If I ever get another 5 string I'll revisit the deep switch.

All in all I liked it a little better today than I did yesterday. I'll keep playing with it. I'm out of town until Monday night, so won't get to mess with it for a few days.

Here's maybe something to think about:
if you let the words "tubes" make you think it was gonna be like a tube amp.;
you'll probably be disappointed.

It's not, and, it's not like the Walkabout, or the Streamliner even; which are more in line with "tube perception."

It's more like the tube preamp dulls some of the razor edge that the rest of the MB series amps have.
