I just moved on a Warwick Streamer. It's one of the pre-Rockbass late '90s MIG models, if I'm not mistaken. (Invalid Link Removed)
The distinction is the jack on the front. But it seems to have different knobs than the stock basses, so we'll see.
$280 to my door seems like a deal. It was labeled on the site as a Rockbass, so that probably helped some.
And it supposedly comes with a gig bag. (At least, that's what "WB" usually stands for in these cases, right? Pun unintended.)
I emailed the store to see if I could get more pictures or extra information prior to the purchase, but never heard back so I just went for it.
Can't wait for this to come in. I had a 5 string Rockbass Corvette that I liked but I'm hoping this thing is even better!

And actually, now that I look at the neck, it looks like maple, whereas it should be a dark wood called Ovangkol.
It might be a Rockbass after all. The jack confuses me though.

Looks like an early RockBass Streamer Standard. Warwick made almost the same bass in Germany with the major difference being the woods. If you go to the Warwick site (warwickbass.com) and check the discontinued models, you should be able to compare the two.
guitar center is killing me..i scooped up an epifani ul310 the other day off the used section in very good condition for 350 bucks. good deal i thought except it came in today and it was an old T-310 and side of cabinet and grill were dented in. Oh well, they have a very easy return policy so im just gonna drive it over to my local GC for a refund and be content with my ul212 which blew this thing away tone and volume wise
An update to this, I received it well packaged in bubble-wrap but without the case, so I contacted them and they're shipping one out to me. The s/n indicates it's a 2006, it's strung with what I think are flats (I've never played flats but pretty sure), and it still has the plastic on the pickguard and pickup. The exterior is flawless, there's no wear on the fretboard, and the pot action is smooth and quiet. There's a little dust on the top edge of the pickup so it must have been sitting in a stand somewhere for awhile. The build quality is light years ahead of my SR300 which kinda feels like a toy now. The only indication that humans have interacted with this bass are the installed flats, some marks on the frets, and the truss rod screw has some stripping but not too bad. Also, the E string buzzes a little bit around frets 7 and 8. I'm unfamiliar with setup since I'm so new, but I imagine the frets and E can be fixed very easily. The little amount of stripping on the truss rod can't be changed but the rod adjusts so no big deal.
With all that said, I can't get used to the pickup location so I'm still on the hunt for a jazz!

There was a American J for $309 but the store had a MIM P for $325 so I guessed that they may have messed up on the photo and it was a MIM, who knows though maybe it was MIA
Situations like that, it's almost worth it to make the jump and use the return policy if necessary, wouldn't you say?

I just didnt want to even bother . I knew it would likely be a different bass then in the photo and sure I could get it returned and maybe make a stink and get some free strings for my time but blah it wasnt worth it to me lol. I know if they had a MIM P they knew the difference between MIA and MIM
110820661 item number, late 80s J bass special so a little different then the Duff models in the fact the back of the neck is natural, the pickups have a smaller pole piece and the bridge is quick release type they used after 87. At $475 is a good price, seems really clean. I sold one for $500 with a huge gash on the front and another that was this clean for $600.
Id go look at that 4001 if it wasnt going to have $150 in sales tax dumped on top. I still only have a Oregon ID so maybe I could fake being a out of towner but doubt it lol.

I live about a mile from that store. That 4001 is so completely thrashed, I didn't even bother to take it off the wall.
