heaviest band ever

Kyuss is pretty much the heaviest band out there, there's nothing quite like cranking Blues for the Red Sun, for me, that album is as genius as a Bach contrapuntal line.
I think Suffocation is one of the heaviest out there. I don't much care for Brutal Death myself, but they're stuff is pretty heavy. Bolt Thrower and Immortal are close seconds.
In terms of slow, thick heavy, I'm not sure, but for fast and heavy, nothing yet is close on this. It is just such a wall of sound, it is unbelievable.

Heaviest? The title track is 63 minutes of heaviness. This album is so heavy that it just might kill you.

Oh yeah, they're good! I saw them at "The Smell" in LA. Very crushing and technical.
I didnt look through all the pages but was Gorgoroth mentioned? They are so insanly bad ass!
