Is global warming fake?

again, why does it have to be one or the other? I believe it's a giant hoax. I also believe it's our responsibility to take care of the earth. Recycle, don't pollute, better fuel standards, etc... I'm not willing to go to extremes because of a hoax. Extremes that put auto workers out of work, cause food prices to soar, destroy our economy. If it makes you feel good to "go green" be my guest. I like my SUV. I like my AC. I like $1 per gallon gasoline.

China has not had any effect on their environment. It's just nature taking it's coarse. It can't effect anyone else either, only China.

There are no after effects for what we do.


People here really believe that what humans do, does not effect our world???

Comparing the rise of the heat with the previous years,I definatelly call it global warming.It gets hotter and hotter.

Despite the caricature of the religious as a bunch of dumb, blind sheep, religious people are typically quite intelligent and have a profound distrust of the media and government and government controlled "science". i.e. we look deeper than the drive-by media's 60 second hype pieces.

I think global warming is real, the cause of it is the controversy. Manmade or natural...

It's hard to believe that all the pollutants we put into the atmosphere could not be having some effect, to blow it off as a liberal conspiracy is kind of narrow-minded to me.

I think we need to get past politically based opinions and look at it scientificly. If it is not real, explain polar ice melt. If it is real, why is it happening and can we do anything about it? Should we do anything about it? Are there any benefits to a warmer earth? Maybe it's a good thing.

If, as some think, this is a global disaster in the making, how do you think our descendants a hundred years from now are going to view us?

Today it was 34 degrees while less than 200 miles away it was in the 70's. In Missouri, global warming is fake.

I know of no religious person who doesn't believe dinosaurs existed. Many of us are young earth creationists who believe there is ample evidence that dinosaurs and man co-existed. Yes, I know, that makes me an idiot

I never said I distrusted science. I said I distrust GOVERNMENT funded science. Follow the money. The money gets what the money wants.

Also, I distrust zealots. Those who make science their religion and discount the supernatural completely are no less a zealot than Billy Graham, Jerry Falwell, or Pat Robertson.

You could very well call it global warming hypothesis, but that's as far as it goes. We don't really even have proof of warming, let alone causation.

Man made global warming is a hoax. Most claims that it is truly a problem are political in nature and not wholly scientific. And don't send links from some environmental group "proving" otherwise; there's always a responsible and scientific countering opinion to be found, too.

Why don't you go out and prove it doesn't exist? Explain the polar ice caps melting. Explain the rising temperatures. Explain the winter storms.

You have it backwards: Since 'global warming' is the "new thing" and mostly just talk so far, the burden of proof lays with the group insisting it is 'real'.. not the other way around. Yes, dinosaurs certainly did exist. We have ample fossil evidence understating that and getting more all the time. Global Warming however has no such 'smoking gun'.. just a lot of emotional, fearful rhetoric, and media hype provoking hysteria and nonsense govermental "solutions".
