Now that I'm looking I believe his 5'er was a Fusion V. But I'm pretty certain his 4 was something else, b/c the body styles aren't the same.

Yeah I use my Charvel as my "C" guitar, tuned down to full drop C. I play about 40 tunes on my cover gig, mostly radio/alt/hard rock, so I just use two b/c it's easier. The "C" on the 3rd fret, A string, isn't exactly the same as an open 2-step detuned C! :p

I play .110's on that one also. These, like Spectors, just sound the best detuned, even if it's just a half step or something.

Nah mine is the firecrackle 3B but i'm sure it's on here somewheres. I only have crappy pics of it, but lemme see if I can get some uploaded soon. It's a beast, w/ the upgraded active EMGs I had installed.

lol you sure it wasnt an eliminator 5 j/k

and ya I have done the CGCF thing as well. the frets buzz too much when I tune it BEAD, so I use my 5 stringer MM for that when necessary. ( not often..lol )

meh.....went back today to take a second look and get the serial # only to discover that the bass is actually a KBX....with a Duncan P/J set up

he still won't seperate the bass from the case however....

What kinda inlays did his 5er have? Pointyhead with all the tuners on top?

If his 4 string is neck through with a 3 way switch on the bottom of the knobs, it's a 3B. If it is bolt on (trans finish on the neck) and has no 3 way switch, it's a 2B. 4Bs are more uncommon and are bolt on with a 3 way toggle between the strings and the 3 knobs.

nope, old Jackson/Charvel/Grover/Wayne--whoever never cared about that ----- it was guitars that made em famous.

I shead a tear every time I see this pic...:crying:

why? because I would be in heaven and the GAS would be gone for a l.o.n.g time if all 6 of my P/J's were one color, but 6 of ONE MODEL IN THE SAME COLOR? oh wow. :hyper:
