Oh man that's a nice looking bass, why does it have such a small bridge though? The one on my concert bass is a lot bigger.

Oh man that's a nice looking bass, why does it have such a small bridge though? The one on my concert bass is a lot bigger.
the later concerts got the non-jackson branded bridge for cost reduction I guess.
nothing wrong with it, and there's plenty of Jackson-branded bridges out there for swapping if someone wanted to He says it was cracked and replaced with the generic brand bridge.

Much to my shame, I never posted the serial number of my Jackson KW when I said I was going to way back in the beginning of this thread 
The serial number is J101019 so if anyone could date it for me it would be much appreciated.
It's such a great bass and one which I'll never sell. I loved the lacewood so much that I had to have it when I had a custom Sei bass made.

The holy grail has been found: TBX bass.

I remembered reading a post from a moderator about calling basses ugly so i decided to remove my comment about the anti grav

basically it was put into place for people who will bash anything that is not owned by them and plenty of threads got out of control with "mine is better than yours" trash talk....
that was a short lived design tommy, it didnt get a chance to be accepted or not by the bassplayers.
epiphone/hamer and many others tried their own version of the hockeystick head units, and were accepted into their own little niche of players who liked the guitar as a whole, and ignored the hockeystick.

even Jackson had a small design change thru the years, the original Charvel heads were very long, and then they shortened them up a little bit to keep people happy, and stray away from the "old" and usher in the "new"
