looks like fretlesswonder is selling his black sparklebody/sharkneck cmg, it's in the TB classifieds with pics now.
Oh man that's a nice looking bass, why does it have such a small bridge though? The one on my concert bass is a lot bigger.

It's such a great bass and one which I'll never sell. I loved the lacewood so much that I had to have it when I had a custom Sei bass made.
I have no idea what year it is. I'll post the serial number tomorrow and see if anyone can date it for me.
When I bought mine, I had a choice of 2. The other one had the Kahler bridge, EMG's, red quilt maple top and the Jackson logo in abalone.
I bought the lacewood as it sounded a lot better.
J1 stamped in the fretboard = 1991 usa KW or a pro?The serial number is J101019 so if anyone could date it for me it would be much appreciated.![]()
the holyGrail is an Anti-Grav or a surfcaster...a TBX is just the opposite....
it is the one bass that was killed off "before it's time", holygrail?...naw...rare as hell?...yes.
this makes #6 I have seen in 15 years of looking, and if it was black I would be bidding on it.
haha what comment could it have been you removed that was so bad...did you say it was the ugliest thing you ever saw, and pity the fools who actually bought one?It is the holy grail to me, but I can't afford the TBX right now

if you did....your right!!! but for a collectible only and weighing in at less than 5lbs, I'll find one someday.
no harm in that, yes we are supposed to refrain from doing the "ugly bass" thing, unless you own one. but I have found as long as it does not turn into an "ugly-bass" debate, the mods tend to ignore it. ( but it still is against the rules )It was something like that yes![]()
I remembered reading a post from a moderator about calling basses ugly so i decided to remove my comment about the anti grav
That is one horrid headstock![]()
that was a short lived design tommy, it didnt get a chance to be accepted or not by the bassplayers.
epiphone/hamer and many others tried their own version of the hockeystick head units, and were accepted into their own little niche of players who liked the guitar as a whole, and ignored the hockeystick.
nothing is dangerous, just retards who don't think before they walk into something....Those pointy headstocks always kept me away from their guitars. Ugly. And dangerous (you'll poke an eye out!)

if your stupid enough to put your face in front of it when the bassplayer is swinging it around on stage your gonna get poked regardless if its a point or a Fenderhead...
all headstocks got tuners also that will whack you if your just plain stupid.....
you think they are ugly, good for you, but please refrain from posts about ugly basses, as it is against the rules here unless you own it...
I own a mess of them, cause to me they are KILLER TONE MONSTER SWEET NECKED PLAYERS that no other comparably priced brands offer me. I never went for the"you must play a xxxxxxx bass to emulate so and so rockstar" garbage as a million others here try so hard to find basses that match their IDOLS, then do nothing but brag or bitch about them.![]()
