I wonder how long this has been coming.
Seeing as my new DJ5 has a 2008 serial number yet no signature on it, assuming that it used to of course.
None of the fivers had that, at least not the past few years....

Personally, I wish Bobby Vega would climb onboard the Lakland train.
I'd love to own a USBV.![]()
But....it looks like he ain't playing them anymore, I've seen this tour and he is playing Fenders, a Warwick and a GIbson - but no Lakland!
not to go OFF subject BUT Da (snuggly)Bears are playing the The Pack tomorrow night for the opener and I am having several friends over...I will be the ONLY Packer Backer in da house (except my wife)....may be a lonely night...until they win!!!
sadly, she's not a real redhead.
(not that that fact deters me...)

IMHO you have the sweetest looking one in the Fretless...also looking forward to the Blue!
Randy took all the pics at Lakland, and he doesn't really have Net access till he gets back home today. I'm sure they'll be posted quicker than the pics when you got your last couple new Lakies!![]()
And that is where I am the complete opposite. Being a larger guy, the smaller body looks really tiny on me. But, give me the neck on a JO and I am a happy camper.
Almost here!

hotter in person? Nice. I can't wait for the whole package. I may need to also get a passive ash/maple bass. You know, for balance.
Glad you like it! It looks even hotter in person. You are SOOOOOO lucky. Great choice, Evan! Can't wait to hear it!
I have a question for the mighty Lakland Owners Group.
I, more likely than not, will become a member with the purchase of a 55-94. I will be playing it through an acoustic image contra, since I double on upright.
My question for you guys is about tone. The acounstic image is known as being very transparent, which is great. But as far as covering a wide range of music such as latin, jazz, rock, hard rock and funk, would I need anything extra to achieve a desired tone?
For instance, can I really funk out with that axe and amp without a preamp of some sort?
Let me know!
+1, that is gonna be a really hot one! I want to see the finished product!Glad you like it! It looks even hotter in person. You are SOOOOOO lucky. Great choice, Evan! Can't wait to hear it!
i just got a duck dunn skyline, i'm very pleased with it.
playing through an acoustic 270 head into a 2x15 cab and an 18. loud and low, baby.
