Same bass I post everywhere else here, so I guess that does make it a workhorse, right? My 1983 62RI Jazz.

Been my #1 almost exclusively since I bought it in '87.

Recently came across this picture from about 8 years ago, I like how dark the fretboard looks.

Thanks! It's a MIM Fender '70's Jazz. I swapped the stock white pickguard for black and installed a Badass Bridge.

Of the lot these two are my goto basses. Sometimes an actual Precision sound is called for and then I'll use one. For a closer Jazz tone I got a Marcus Miller V7 just last year. But mainly the Q5 covers most tones I'm likely to need and it's the easiest to play.
The Ibanez SR05 Fretless is a gem. Dave Pegg had it defretted by Ibanez during a mid tour break so he could play a song on the second part of that tour; that Ian Anderson had just written with Steve Bailey. Not name dropping particularly, I never met them, I wish ... spoke to Peggy briefly, on the phone.
She's an odd one though. Under the EMGs are a pair of single coil guitar pickups as hum cancellers and there's a Master Vol preset pot in a little well on the cavity cover. SWEET is a major understatement. Crazy bridge, saddles on stalks.
