My fiancee made some awesome vegetarian paella the other day. I dont have a pic, though.
Searched for (and couldn't find) a great comedy routine about the origins of Mexican food in America.
The link I posted is about that.

I hated California with a passion, but I do miss Santana's and their carne asada nachos. As far as I can tell no place in WA sells those.![]()
I love mexican food. All kinds. Even the kinds people say aren't really mexican food. I love mexican food so much, our favorite place (my girl and I) gave us a gift certificate for a free dinner last xmas. Rancho Allegre on Garfield Place and 7th Ave. in Bklyn. I love Mexican food so much I consider Taco Bell mexican food, and eat it at least once a week. Because it's convenient. In Bklyn. NY I'm one up on everyone else in the world also when it comes to Mexican food, because I believe this is the only area (or at least it was a coupla yrs back) that has CHINESE mexican food. Which I also eat about once a week. It's chinese food places that also do fast food Mexican. Looks and tastes very little like mexican food, but they have tortillas, quesadillas, burritos... an entire mexican menu w a chinese edge to it. And chinese vegetables too.
I'll get pix of it all, but we're going to a thai place tonight.
