It's good to see the Mets do well. As a Mariners fan, I hope they get swept this weekend.
Rockies lost to the Royals last night 14-10. Lots of runs scored, and as a result the game ran just under four hours.
Left home at 4:40. Stop and go traffic much of the way (60 miles). Game start: 6:40, and it ended just before 11:00 PM. Arrived home (60+ miles away ) a bit after midnight.
Coors field is a great ball park, game was fun to watch, had some good BBQ there, but when it takes more than 7 hours to go to a MLB game means you have to really want it. No wonder we don't go to a lot of games.

24 runs is a bit of an anomaly, no? I'd rather have the occasional marathon than manufacture silly things like ghost runners and pitch clocks. If the people forcing this crap on us understood what was actually happening they'd be talking about a batters box clock.
The Jays are 2-8 in their last ten. Not ideal!
They are playing in the Trop this weekend--truly a house of horrors for the Jays--and got off to a bad start last night. Spring left the game after crashing into the outfield wall, and they went on to lose. They're tied 1-1 right now in the 6th in tonight's game. Score some runs already please, you're killing me!

Nice to see Toronto win a game last night! Bo's bat seems to be heating up. Chapman keeps hitting the ball hard and was finally rewarded with a HR. And Kikuchi has somewhat quietly had a pretty nice May so far. 6 IP, 6 K, only 1 hit against his old team. I'd like to see fewer walks though.
The M's have Gilbert taking the mound tonight (who!?) and it looks like he's had some good results so far this season. Here's hoping the Jays' hitters see his pitches well tonight.
Also, I guess we won't be seeing Robbie Ray this series in Toronto. That's a bummer. Would have been nice to do a little thing for him because of the Cy Young award last year.

Bleah. No it wasn't. And still isn't. Oh, well. Gilbert didn't have the best game, but if your team isn't hitting, even perfection doesn't get a win.
My beloved St. Louis Cardinals of St. Louis absolutely hammered the dreaded San Francisco Giants of San Francisco on Sunday. It was such a beatdown that Albert Pujols pitched the ninth inning. Place went nuts!
My view of the game tonight — first base line, 17th row, behind the M's dugout. I think these are the best tickets I've ever had!
I saw Bo here on his last game before getting called up. He was clearly the best player on the field. I have been a fan of his since.

A bit OT (as far from MLB as baseball goes), but I picked up my first two hits of the season last night with the new Bulldog maple 2-tone MOD-B: a hard 1-hopper through the hole at short and a bloop in short right.
Sadly, the Jays lost last night. I don't go to a ton of games, but they always lose when I attend 
Maybe next time I go they will win!
It was a fun night though, and my kiddo had a blast, so who cares which team won.
I was also just a couple seats away from being able to catch a foul ball. So close! I would have made a great barehanded snag. Quite a few balls went flying into our section and neighbouring sections. It seemed like almost every half inning Vlad or the M's first baseman tossed a ball into the stands for a fan to catch. At the end of one inning JP Crawford made a point to walk around the side of the dugout to give a ball to a couple of young kids that were in the first row right behind the dugout. Those kids were thrilled, it was really nice moment.
My last observation from last night: It was actually fairly quiet in the Dome. Cheer and clap a bit more, folks! Not much heckling going on either. Though one guy a few rows behind us belted out a very loud, "Winker you suck!!!" and then Winker popped out on the next pitch to end the top of the 5th. Dude should have given it to a few more of the M's hitters too

The Mariners avoided a sweep in Toronto. They are getting the suck out of the way early. I hope. So long as they don't dig such a big hole they can't get back out, it might not be a wasted season after all. They are inoffensive again this year. When they have offense, they have no pitching. When they have pitching, they have no offense. They are in the can't hit mode right now.

Some guys who signed big deals—Story, Semien, Bryant—have been struggling mightily. Gotta figure that those guys turn it around eventually. It's a tough situation though.
