Modulus Mob

sl_modulus0700000002.jpg
This is what I saw at their booth

so looks like this synth company can use the name 'modulus' as long as they are not in direct competition with modulus guitars? or is it since they are based in the u.k.?

anywhoo, so instead of having their own booth, maybe the modulus basses are dispersed at various booths? geoff posted on his fb site that one of his basses is at the tech 21 booth. so i'm assuming if a manufacturer doesn't have a lot of product to display, maybe best to bring 4-5 basses and have them at various amp/pickup/string booths?

Im still ISO some black hardware for my TBX 5. I really only need the tuners at this point and would trade for the gold hardware that I have. IF not, please sell me those tuners! I believe they are GOTOH? I dont need Modulus branded versions as I figure that would be a near impossible task.

One more thing....The volume knob on my TBX moves too easily. I find myself hitting it while playing and turning down the volume...anyone deal with that before?

So, I have been playing my Q5 for the last 9 months. I pulled out my neck thru Bassstar for tonights show. Man, I love this bass. Period bar none, this is the best bass I ever played

Gosh you make me wana try it so bad. I'd love to know what it feels like. I do love the feel of the '96 q4 I just got, so I'm gathering that the older ones feel smoother for some reason. I bet something as old as a bassstar must be brilliantly crafted.

I invite any on my mod th friends to try it. My Bassstar is neck thru. 1-3/4 nut, 2-1/2 heal 5 string and imho, it just wants to be played. The neck is not thick either, but not super thin as well. I have never played a bass that just makes Mr want to play more. It is a wonderful thing. Especially since I have 6 Mod's and 14 other lovelies to choose from

Ok ,back from NAMM. Found both the "Modulus" bass[4 string] and Geoff's 5 string. Played the 4 in the Epifani booth. It has a Epifani pre-amp in it. Went by the Tech 21 booth and I played the Geoff Gould 5 string. IMO,the Modulus 4 was very heavy, but solid, sounded great though ,way heavier than my Q5. The GG 5 was not as heavy [As The Mod 4],and the neck was about the same width as my Q5 ,sounded great too[although I didn't get to tweak on the amp as much as I would have liked.] I dont think you could go wrong with either 1.

So how's Jeff's bass compared to your Q5? How are they different in sound and feel?

Does anybody here know what the best replacement hard case is for a q4? Mine is totally done for. I would like one that fits as snug as possible of course. Has Anyone been through this that has some insight? I'm unable to get a response from Tony at planet bass about it.
