OMG - any Michael Jackson tribute band would kill you if you brought this on stage!A Neverland Ranch gig?
You'd definitely be taking your life in your own hands with that move! You'd probably need a lawyer to field the lawsuits from Ric as well. How about playing a Rickenbacker convention and pulling one of these out of the case:

Somehow, the Mothman is inappropriate in any setting, especially when you consider it's evil mind-bending powers. Why it's....Oh, no!.....It's got me.....Resistance is futile......it's worse than the Hypno-Toad.....All Hail Mothman! All Hail the Oversized God of Oversized and Over the Top Basses!.....Praise him!......HELLLP!Thanks for keeping it on track Perry!
Ok everyone, keep it light hearted, have fun with the topic and post those appropriate pics of basses that would just be out of place or inappropriate for a given setting.
And in a preemptive move (because I know there's less appropriate pictures of this bass floating around) how about the epic, the one, the only (drum roll please)...

And now we've come full circle. Gene Simmons axe bass was the bass that inspired this thread (hats off to TBer Malak).I don't think Gene Simmons' Ax bass would go over very well in church.![]()
Not a bass, but I saw one of these for sale on Kijiji recently:

I can't think of anywhere it IS appropriate. Not to mention the model name... I just can't believe anyone would have bought it in the first place.
It's actually a seven string, It has an extra g-string.
That's Warren Fitzgerald's Hello Kitty guitar - he plays it in The Vandals. Not sure if he ever played it with Oingo Boingo.

That's a beautiful bass!Thats a cool looking bass! Actually I think it would look great in a praise setting. Just don't tell people its called a destroyer bass.
Likewise I could probably use my Alembic Dragon Wing bass in a praise setting...

...just call it an Angel Wing bass!![]()
Yep!Well, you can bring most any bass to any gig.
What would be inappropriate to me would be to bring an expensive boutique bass guitar but not have the chops to play simple bass lines.

I don't have the cash monay for that kind of bass.Yep!
That would also qualify you for the crappy bassists with expensive gear club - of which I'm a proud member!
Nice Fodera by the way.
