Musicman Sabre is back

Even though I'm really excited to see them reissue the Sabre, and even though the later versions were, in fact, improved, I wish they had gone for the original design. It's shallow of me, I know, but I just love the way the earlier Sabres look.

I love basses with two monstrous humbuckers, and I prefer a 2-band pre-amp, so this is right up my alley!

there was a link for a second on the mm site under bases, it was that blue one, double humbucker, maple neck. I clicked on it, got a redirect. It's since been removed.

The ones with the covered pickups are very affordable on the used market. Like, you can get two of them for the price of one of these new ones, affordable. They look nice but the covered pickups were never as nice looking as the exposed poles version and they are priced too high for my blood.
