my current number one bass is...

These play way above their price point. Such great value in an inexpensive bass. I love the colour on this one.
Hey thanks I fully agree, it’s a great player (2008) I also really dig Olympic White. I have a nice black 2012 (from overseas) and I have never seen another in the states, it’s CIC Jazz and a really great player as well, it does needs a polish and a set-up but here is a pic…

The luthier who built that one is deceased too, so there's also that. My wife saw me playing one of his basses at a big guitar show after party 20 years ago, met the luthier, and actually was the one who brought up buying a custom build from him. But the other luthier is one of my best friends, and a sometime business client, so I may just have to bite the bullet and keep both.
Guaranteed less regret that way.

Space is at a premium and on top of that we're strongly considering moving overseas. So something else would have to go instead, at the least. Losing all my amps and electric instruments and just going acoustic is going to be very tempting, actually.
Ahh...

Great lookin boxer and that Am Pro is an absolute killer! What is the sandblasted?
It is a Limited Edition based on the American Special. They were released in 2014 and only 250 of each were made. Up until recently, I had two of these but sold one (a Jazz bass) to a good friend. I blacked out the bridge and tuners with HipShots. It came with the American Standard pickups from 2012 ( had Fender pull the specs for mine), sounds like thunder. Also very light, just a shade over 8lbs.

I have 3 main players, they rotate #1 according to my mood and capricious whims, and I've posted pics of each as my main squeeze. I'm lucky that way, to have three that good. Currently, Jules:

OG Aerodyne with EMG Geezers and an Audere 4-band pre. Awesome neck and playability and I can get any tone I need right on the bass.
