Fraud is fraud. Rickenfakers are BS imho as are these Fauxderas. People who buy fakes are perpetuating thievery. I'm sure that some years back people looked at fake Rolexes and said, "obvious fake, can't hurt the brand." Today you can find ones that are almost indistinguishable sold for low and high prices. So at this point any used Rolex is suspect. Bad for the brand, bad for owners and buyers.
I have no problem with some builder knocking off the shape or general design. But the logo is my personal line in the sand - at that point it is only there to fool some of the people some of the time. And that is to the detriment of the brand, and more broadly, to all owners.
ymmv. People have to follow their own moral compass. I know musicians who have downloaded thousands of free/pirated mp3 files and have no problem with it. After all, it is the 21st century and everything should be free or at least ridiculously cheap. Then they wonder why there are no paying gigs and day jobs are all low paying service sector...
Doesn't this phrase completely undermine the entire boutique builder industry and their expensive prices?
You guys have it so hard
