There’s not a lot of film on Stidham.
The Pats will need to plan for the unexpected.
Payton will install a game plan that will throw them off. Hopefully
Vrabes has a lot of film about what he likes to do, defensively. They will shut down the run and make Stidham prove he's a "starting calibur QB", in his own words. HIs last NFL start was concerning to say the least. Nix being out hurts, but he was also a turn over machine at times. He's got a bit of the Favre in him. 3 hour ego 5 second memory. Sling it and wing it.

As interesting will be how Maye deals with a stellar defensive unit. The Denver success rate on coverage sacks is pretty absurd but you can't sleep in their run D either. Formidable indeed.

I think this will come down to the most basic of football games. Smash-mouth football, with a single turn-over being the deciding factor.

I love me some snot-bubble football.

I want to see the Seahawks make it to the SuperBowl. The Rams are the one team I didn't want to see them have to play again. My expectation is that next week is the championship. It will be yet another third meeting for NFC West teams. They should have been the 1, 2, and 3 seeds. The Superbowl will be about Bad Bunny, not which team is the best in the NFL. The best team will be decided by the Rams and the Seahawks.

Famous last words.
I was also hoping the Rams wouldn't be back for a round three, but OTOH it's arguably the two best teams this year and the first two games were pretty great. And at least it's in Seattle!

The right teams definitely made it to the end, and the Rams are the only team in the NFC capable of beating Seattle at home right now. After some pretty bad football the last few seasons, this one has been really good, and really competitive, from beginning to end. The NFC championship game, at least, should be more of the same.

I dunno, something feels off on Buffalo. The Beane guy runs the show over there and as soon as a reporter questions one of his draft picks the owner steps in and blames the coaches for the pick.

Not sure how directly involved Pegula is at this point with his daughter's tennis career, but something has always seemed a little off with that too, IMO. Seemingly talented enough to be or have been #1 ranked, but somehow never quite up to it for whatever reason.

Stab in the dark time :D

Mike McD to the Chargers as the O.C.
Mike Tomlin to the Dolphins.
Harbaugh is tough, He will bring his entire coaching staff, more than likely but his age, 66 gives me the idea a team in win now mode is the more likely destination. The talent on the Browns is astounding aside from the QB, which can be improved ( certainly not fixed ) in the off season. I'm leaning that way.
Steelers will bring in a young coach from the college ranks, they have a history of going young ( Tomlin was the youngest NFL when he was brought on. I like Notre Dame coach Freeman, personally as a fit )
The Titans will hire a mouth breather. It's what the do now. However Daboll wouldn't make me mad.

I'm quoting myself because I'm funny like that.

Not funny - Ha! Ha!

Just, funny.

I got one right!

I'm already better than the NFL Refs.

And doing it while the player is still on the team! Thus alienating him and driving down the potential trade value. Pretty dumb.

Ok, here's my theory....
Steelers hire McCarthy who will convince Rodgers to return so they can run it back. They'll pick up a couple more former Packers along the way.
By the time this plays out, Andy Reid will have been fired by KC and Mahomes released, so then they'll move on to that duo.

Ok, I'm going to try and nail another O.C. hire.

Daboll to the Titans.

Obviously I would like this as a hire.

Either way getting the coaches in the building A.S.A.P. is paramount with the Titans holding the #4 pick.

Personally, if you aren't in love with the top 10 talent, and nothing falls to you that is near generational, I think trading back and getting more picks makes a lot of sense for a team that is clearly rebuilding.

Annnd there you go :)

Fun fact,

Low level EMFs from power stations are less than a cell phones or a WiFi router.

The niners are better off making their practice facility in Amish country .... just in case, ya know?

Tin foil helmets will be mandatory next year.

Or maybe build a Faraday cage around the practice facility.

This is what happens when you have a guy in charge who has been hit repeatedly in the head for years.

My apathy for the 49ers and Raiders comes from proximity, and media/info overload around here, but, having said that, John Lynch is from the era of football I recall with a lot of fondness. He's mental, and I'm here for it.

Definitely not the choice Steeler fans were hoping for, but not an altogether bad move for the short term. One thing McCarthy can do is develop a quarterback. That is the top priority right now. As long as he doesn't bring Aaron back as next years starter, we might see Will Howard or a yet to be drafted rookie (this year or next) coached up to be the next franchise guy.
