I stop here first for NHL news, then a couple other sites to see if we missed anything.

Yah, I'm quoting myself! And yes, it is still a challenge, being a Leaf fan.
Let's see what they do in Arizona tonight. They have been stymied by Babcock's belief that they must play defense first. Kinda hard to do when you have a team of scorers first! I am hoping that the new guy, Keefe, will take advantage of their strengths rather than their weaknesses.

Yah, I suspect so... Babs as not chosen by the Leaf's current GM, he was hired by Shanahan,the team President, who fired him yesterday. Keefe, the new coach has a long history with the newish GM, Dubas, having won championships at both the OHL (Ontario hockey League) level as well as the American League. This hire puts Dubas right in the cross hairs, so to speak as typically, a GM only gets to fire one Head Coach, before he himself gets canned.
Playing or coaching the Leafs in what has been described as "The centre of the hockey universe" is probably one of the most difficult jobs in pro sports. Not unusual to have 20-30 members of the press scrum up, after a regular season game. Heck, not unusual to have 20-30 members of the press attend a team practice. Talk about working under a microscope!
Just to back up that statement, currently within the GTHL (Greater Toronto Hockey League) where kids as young as 3-4 years old, up to 18 number in the 50K+ range. That doesn't even include the beer leagues, the high school teams, the college teams etc. Yes we take our hockey seriously up here!
Last year when the Raptors won the NBA championship, it was reputed that 1-2 million people attended the parade... if the Leaf's were ever to win the cup again, (LOL) expect that number to double if not triple.

The Pens wander out to Long Island for the second half of a home and home. What's the over/under on Murray glove side high goals tonight? I'll say three as the Pens continue to flourish at being mediocre.

Nobody knows , hasn't been publicly announced.
He's been benched a couple of times since the top of the season , probably related.
Don't forget that he's the highest paid player on the team.
I read somewhere that he's taking a break since he picked up bass playing.
The program he follows is for severe "GAS" syndrome.
I remember laughing at how the Capitals could never beat the Pens. Now I think that's the case with the Islanders, but the roles are reversed.

Well, the Isles can't beat them in regulation, just OT. I'm taking solace in that statistic.

Good point.
However, the cynic in me says those three points may matter come playoff seeding. I need to lighten up and enjoy the wonderfully average Pens of 2019-20.
To their defense, injuries have decimated the defense.

Wow, that is a long time, longer than my 47 year wait for the Red Sox. The last time Toronto won the Cup, the league was still the Original Six. Expansion to 12 happened the following year. Maybe 10% of the players wore helmets and there were still goalies who didn't wear masks.
Going to Lightning/Ducks game tonight. Got a good deal on tickets, maybe have enuff for a beer at Amalie Arena prices.
I think given the long tenure of the rivalry, they are just keyed up
