NHL Season 2022-23

The Bruins continue to roll. Nice outing by Swayman in goal in his first start since wrenching his knee. I was watching the game when his knee bent the wrong way when a player slid into him when he was down in a butterfly. I thought it was much worse, but I forget how fit and flexible these guys are.
I forget how fit and flexible I once was-many, many mango seasons ago.
When I watch Vasi do those pre-game splits, my knees hurt.
I've been meaning to ask you Bruins fans something. Does your play-by-play guy, Jack Edwards, have something wrong with him health-wise? (Maybe had a stroke at one time?)
The reason I ask is that every time I watch a game he's calling I think that I've never seen a play-by-play man talk so slowly. It's almost like I want to finish his sentences for him. Not trying to put him down in any way. I'm genuinely curious.
I haven't noticed anything different this year - it may just be his style. He doesn't worry about describing everything that happens, but you can tell when something interesting is happening as he ramps up the volume and intensity. I think he may leave more room for his color guy, former NHL'er Andy Brickley, than the average play-by-play guy.

I just watched a replay of a game from 2019, and Jack Edwards does have a very deliberate delivery style.
That being the case, I've also noticed this year that it has gotten even more so, to the point where you just want to say, "for the love of GOD, just spit it out, will you?". Look, we all age, and I know my fastball is nowhere what it used to be, but IMHO Jack is putting on the 17th hole. Great career, for certain, and the biggest home-town announcer there is.
Side note: it must have been about 30 years ago, I was standing in line at the Fenway Park box office (remember those?) buying some tickets toward the end of the year when the Red Sox where not so great. Back then, Jack Edwards was just breaking in and he showed up with a man-on-the-street camera crew to interview people in the ticket line. Yours truly, among others, was interviewed by 'smiling Jack' for about 15 seconds. I must have said the right things as the piece wound up on the local 6 o'clock news. My 15 seconds of not-much-fame. LOL. I think they were trying to create interest in the Sox for ticket sales.
Top 3 D-men out, another went down in the second period, but somehow (Thanks Matt Murray!) they managed to hold on for the win. Very exciting game, those Devils are a very fast team.
Nice matinee today. Not a bad November, 8-1-3 so far, only 1 regulation loss, 19 out of 24 points. And that is with about half the defense and top 2 goalies hurt for most of the month. I hate to say it, but letting Campbell go and picking up Murray looks like a good move so far.
Total lack of effort.
I like the Flyers white/black trim jerseys. But I don't think they've won any of the games in which they've worn them!
Not the Panthers, and the "Bolts" on the Lightning RRs look more like flames.
