This is my new Wilkins Custom Medium Scale Bass. I've had it since Sep. '18 and after 5 months It has become my favorite go-to bass! This is without a doubt the easiest playing and best sounding P type bass I have ever played. Here are the specs: The body is chambered Alder with a tilt back Maple neck with a birdseye fret board with a flame maple headstock veneer. The fretboard is a C shape with a 7.25" radius and a zero fret and the frets are 6230 vintage. The pickup is a custom wound Lindy Fralin P. The bridge is an alumimum Hipshot type A and the tuners are hipshot Ultralites. The strings are La Bella 760FL's. The weight is 7.75 Lbs. I can really fly on this bass and I can't stop smiling whenever I pick it up to play. I would also like to thank Bruce Johnson of X Strange instruments and the late Mike Lipe who had a hand in the construction of the neck. Pat of course did all the work on the body and electronics and the beautiful finish and assembly work. Pat is really a master.

I'm glad this thread came back, I have more basses painted by Pat. The custom 22" Tele guitar style natural did not have nice wood, so I had him paint it Capri orange (which looks more Butterscotch to me). Next is a 23" Savannah Travel bass uke Thunderbird style with a very exotic variegated green. A 24" Hadean bass uke that Eric's Guitar modified to a Jazz style in yellow. An Ibanez 22.75" miKro guitar that Eric modified and Pat painted purple, including the pickguard and faceplate. And an Epiphone Les Paul Express 22" Junior guitar converted by Eric that Pat painted a burst teal, which came out great.
Good to see this thread back. I have a vintage bass with Pat right now for a refresh and we just did a video using my first bass that I had refinished by Pat. Still looks like new after many years.

Thanks! It now belongs to Rudolf Rock, owner of Zwick R&R bar/museum/nightclub (think Hard Rock Cafe) in Hamburg - Rudy is a big bass collector (and bass player!) and especially likes T-birds.Removable strap peg extension to solve the chronic problem of a T-bird neck-diving. Removable so it will fit in a form-fit Ephiphone case.
Simple off-on via Dunlop Strap-Lok system.
Pat also did my Deadlybird IV in satin black.

Wow! Very nice! Pat was talking with me about his medium scale basses when he finished my medium scale Burns. Didn't know he was doing a zero-nut also - very cool.
