Selling gear you like is one of the many paths that lead to the Road to Remorse, I know all about that road... What saved my day is the understanding that it's just stuff. Yes, it's stuff that I'm the fuse to a kind of happiness, but it's just a fuse, it's not happiness.
But I've left some marks, yep.

Hey all, been a minute for us here. I thought I'd post here because a friend is offering to sell me his old TNT 115 combo for a nice cheap price. Anyone here have experience with one? I figure I'll go play gigs with it. I don't mind the 80+ lbs, is older kooks started out wheeling/pushing/carrying/getting friend to help with heavy and large gear.

I'm curious if it can run at 2 ohms- if I mod it with a jack for an extension cab.
I'm having a fit lately of getting back to basics, and this has landed in front of me. In my first band I played a Peavey TNT 100, and this is the next move up.

Thoughts, stories, knowledge?... Thank you for your time!

Ok, doesn't run at 2 ohms apparently. But I *could* load an 8 ohm Kappalite 3015 into it, and mod it with an ext cab jack...

All this Peavey love and no Mark VI amps? Too new? Too low power? The bast%^& child?
Paired mine with an unknown 15" PA speaker (from the 70's?) for years until I got too old to lug the speaker around and started a home recording studio. Needed more space for a cramped studio. Got rid of the speaker but kept the amp.
This thing took a lightning hit to the house, shorted one side of the bridge rectifier and kept working. Beasts they are! Luckily I wasn't playing during the storm. Went into the basement the next day and the amp was "on", though the power switch was off. Plugged in my BC Rich and it still sounded great.

Nothing takes abuse like a Peavey! So many people with so many happy-ending horror stories!
I wanted a Mk VIII for years, discovered the MK-III was my amp. But no diss on any of them.
That story is definitely club-worthy - want a number?
Cool bass by the way. Care to share that pedigree?...

I had a bandmate with a Mark VI and massive 2x15" cab in the early to mid 90s. It was a beast! Kept up with my 120W Orange half stack and the other guitarist's 100W Peavey half stack.

Sure, I’ll take a number. The BC Rich Eagle is just the NR series, worth today what I bought it for in ‘84. Got it used (6 months old, still came with a one year warranty) on a trade-in with an Electra Phoenix, another Japanese model bass. It was my only bass for 34 years until I decided to carve out a space in the basement for my studio and started adding guitar, basses, drums, keys, amps, etc.
I’ve used it to play everything from Rock, New Wave, Metal, Punk/Hardcore, Blues. The more basses I bought the more I appreciated the build quality and sound of the BC. Every time I pick it up it feels like home.

The Peavey was bought used from GC sometime in the 90’s to replace an ailing SUNN 200S tube amp, that I’ve had longer than the BC, which is just as heavy as the Peavey. Since I had only one bass, anytime I wanted to play I didn’t have to touch anything but the volume on the Peavey.

I really do miss that simplicity: one bass to just play, in any situation, etc. But now there's a fretless, which I really like playing, and you just collect a few things over time I guess... But keeping it essential is becoming key for me once again.
