btw, the USA standards do have the mini gotoh style tuners on them.
The USA Millennium standards don't have the Hipshot hardware? Good to know!

How can you tell these basses if they were made in US? I see no markers or other stuff.
fourstringbliss - 5 string Plus models pop up in the TB classifieds, eBay and www.daddys.com (Daddy's Junky Music) pretty often - keep a lookout and you'll find a nice one before too long at a pretty nice price.

While searching around here and Peavey's site I was able to find a copy of ad brochure and pdf of owners manual that will answer any questions about USA Millenniums.
I saved this to my computer as a jpeg and it's readable. Not sure why my photo bucket account sizes it smaller.

and you can get the owner's manual here.

Good find! I normally do not fancy active basses, but I am strongly considering getting one of these.
Another thing to help you in your consideration is the fact that these basses have active pickup blending. Passive basses and basses that have active preamps matched with passive pickups have passive blending, which essentially gives you neck, both, and bridge pickup settings - with no real transitional sounds. Both the preamp and the pickups on the Millenniums are active, so you get a full range of sounds when you turn that blend knob.
The mid-frequency knob also makes it possible to get almost any tone you're looking for. I can go from woofy old school to cutting modern just by turning one knob.
Are you looking for a 4 string or 5?
Here's a 4 string but it's the version with two Jazz pickups instead of the J/MM.

Well, that one is actually on its way to Louisiana ! CB56...where can I find a larger picture of that Millennium ad ? I always wondered what all the stock colors were.
What do you think about t-40s?
Ok, I found the post. It was quadzilla who posted the pdf file. I'm not sure how to attach a pdf file to my posts so for now just click the link and you can save the pdf file to your computer.

I am looking for a 4 string and I almost bought the one sold here. actually, it was around the same time that I post "how can we tell Peavey USA basses from others?" question. But it seems it was sold (pending payment).
As far as the other websites goes, I really do not trust them as I trust TB'er gear for the bass guitars. I purchase pedals, amps, etc from anywhere, but I would only purchase a bass either at TB or locally.
