Ah, gotcha. As a Lisper stuck working in Python, it looks to me like your first problem is being stuck with C#. My sympathies
You don't understand cast iron.
I cook with tomato sauce all the time. No problems. I also cook with or without pre-oiling the pan, no problems. You haven't properly primed your pan if you're having sticking that cannot be unstuck with a little soaking in warm water then a nylon brush. Just fill it with water, put it on the stove, and heat it up.
In more extreme conditions, scrubbing with a little sea salt is the old Italian way of getting back to the prime. It'll get off the tough stuff without scrubbing through the coating.
But sanding and refinishing is for drastic situations. I don't think I've done that on my most used pan in years.
I was playing my very expensive boutique bass last night and someone had the nerve to ask me if it was a good one, then even worse, they mispronounced the name. How dare them....that's what happens when you scrape the SQ off of Squier

18.04 has been nice and co-operative for me on my work laptop, so I'm guessing a config mismatch with your WiFi router. Or maybe you have the same issue I have with a newfangled 802.11ac model, which overwhelms devices when they're too close, causing connection issues and low transfer rates.
But this is a bass forum; feel free to DM me if you want somebody to bounce the issue off.
The fact that they stop it early isn't a problem, but not immediately clearing/resetting it is worthy of damnation.

Almost every problem we may encounter is a first world problem. The fact that the phrase "first world problem" even exists is a first world problem.
