Poor Kitty

I'm saying that we will never really know if he was really hurting the cat unless we ask the cat. I know that cats don't tend to speak human languages, so we can't do this. So, this whole case will lie upon the perception.

How stupid can you be? Have you watched the videos? The cat is clearly being hurt and is clearly in great distress. Only a fool could say the case lies on perception, watch the videos and try and argue any different.

I just caught this on Heaven666 before coming here. What a couple of scumbags. I hope they both rot in hell, their passage their speeded by some vigilante justice. I love cats, and I wouldn't hesistate to punch this little **** in the face.

Good work been done here, tracking him down:

What a low life, loser piece of trash. Just as bad as a pedophile.

What do you think about the school bully who shoves the smaller kid against the locker, gives him a wedgie and dumps a can of cola on his head? Would you puke if you witnessed such a thing? Should we put the bully in prison? Castrate him? Torture him to death? Do we expect that the victim of the bully must be permanently scarred and is destined to be a useless, shriveled hulk for the rest of his life? If the bully is "only" punished for his actions with severe restrictions of all his activities by his parents and extensive public service obligations by the local authorities would you say that he got off easy?

Apparently so. It seems that any retribution short of cutting off his head is enough to make people sick.

I'd beat the bully w/o a second thought.Just to show him how it feels to be abused by a stronger character.
Maybe the reason because of the bullies is the beatings from a stronger character you may say.But still, harming some one else because you were harmed is not justifyable.:scowl:

I don't know if you had bullies ever but it does one of the most dramatic effects in a man's life.

Also, bullies WILL NEVER be good people.I'm sure you too wouldn't be close friends with an ex-bully.You'd just feel the negativity coming from them.:)

I did watch the video and I am arguing differently. The cat is clearly annoyed. That cat is not being hurt - just annoyed. I have a cat which I treat with great respect and my family has had many cats over the years. Cats get annoyed at being teased and handled roughly and they cry and meow just like this when it happens to them. My folks currently have a cat (it looks remarkably similar to "Dusty") that is completely antisocial and cries and meows pitifully whenever anyone so much as touches it or tries to pick it up and it acts just like it's being tortured.

You scare me a whole lot more than this kid does.

Actually, I was bullied and pushed around in grade school quite a bit and even a few times in high school before I learned to stand up for myself. I got some scrapes and bruises out of it but it certainly wasn't traumatic. Maybe to some people it is, but to me it wasn't.

And one of the bullies who hounded me the most abruptly gained some kind of sense of maturity around age 14 and made himself a respectable adult and a decent human being. I worked side by side with him in a factory job for a short time when we were both in our twenties and we got along just fine.

You scare me a whole lot more than this kid does.

Not pointing the finger at you directly but it's people who show this kind of "yeah, so an animal got abused, ok", shirking attitude that lets people get away with this kind of thing.

"So it's only one cat", they say, thinking the outcome of this case makes no difference. Well it does, in a way, it puts right on a human level the wrongs that have been done to that cat.

You might see a lynch mob but these people who are angry and even the ones who are calling for blood are only doing so because in their hearts they are good people who do not want to see someone get away with hurting a defenceless creature in this manner.

Nope.

This is just a case of mass hysteria.

If you read between the lines you'll see that the people that organized against him have some personal beef with this kid.

He was a racist annoying kid that pissed off several people on places like myspace and facebook or other sites like that.
They hate this kid for his personality.

The cat incident was just a golden opportunity to get this kid, and form online lynch mobs.
It is easy getting so much sympathy for this case since it involves a cat being hurt, and many people like animals.
Some people on the internet were out to get him before the cat videos.

I'm not defending the kid, I think he's a ********* too, but the people that are after him scare me just as well.
An ordinary lynch mob...
It's so scary that they put up all his private information online... especially for his family members.
Names, phonenumbers, adresses,... of his father and mother, even the place were they work.
That is not ethical.
That's not asking for justice, that's just ruining people, or a family in this case.

The people who made the webpage in the OP are sick persons.
The kid was just a dumb attention whore.

That means nothing to me. All I'm bothered about is that justice be done for what he did to the cat. The rest of it, all fluff to me. It's his business who he irritates. Beating up the cat though, was a dumb move and it's backfired completely. He should have to face up to the consequences.

And that's where is see the problem.

That was not hurting a cat. That is not abusing.
The only abuse I see is making a cat starring a role in a crappy homemade vid against his will.

I have seen some harder rough playing with cats. The cat did not suffer from anything that can be seen in this video.
I'm not saying it was okay how the threated Dusty, but there wasn't anything that is sadistic.

Seeing a 14yo kid wearing a balaclava was the most disturbing thing I've seen in the video.

If I would put up a video of showing my bassplaying you'd say: now there is a crappy bassplayer.
If I would were a balaclave while playing my bass it suddenly goes: oh no, that evil man is torturing a bass guitar.

You're more influenced by the one who performs the deed than the deed itself.

In this case, the punishment doesn't fit the crime. IMO

edit: with the word "you" in this post I'm not pointing fingers at baronyx, I mean some people in general

It's a matter of perspective. Yes, a kid was pretending to hurt a cat and clearly mistreating that animal in the process. It's a low-life thing to do. But the idea that people want to beat him to death for it is strange to me.

After all, we had a thread here not too long ago about the shooting at the BART station in Oakland. A police officer shot and killed a prone and unarmed suspect and at least a third of the posts were defending the officer or trying to find a way to justify his actions.

Here a kid pretends to seriously abuse an animal and people want him lynched.

I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for this cretin to become a productive member of society but the punishment needs to fit the crime.

I'm not gonna watch the vid, cuz I don't need to get riled up today, but abuse or mistreatment of animals is often a bad sign of inherent cruelty in general. He may not deserve a royal beat down, but a bitch slap might be in order with some much needed counseling. While this may not qualify as real torture, he strikes me as a likely candidate for that assbag that's in every department that takes everything a little too far. :scowl:

For you wishing the kid harm, violence begets only more violence.

If you're good with that then please see sig. peace

ps> no, I didn't watch - but I was vry cruel to animals when I was young. People can change. 2¢

OK.

I watched the video -- unlike most people.

This is what I saw:

Some dumb-ass kid and his friend pretending to torture a cat (complete with fake NAZI accent) by using the cat as a video prop and swinging it aroung and shoving it up against a shower stall and slapping it back and forth. Then they sprayed it with water from the shower.

The cat was not hurt because the kid was not trying to hurt the cat.

This bears repeating.

The cat was not hurt because the kid was not trying to hurt the cat.

The kid was acting for the video and was only pretending to hurt the cat. He was only very lightly hitting the cat. As in, pulling his punches like a kung fu movie. The kids were making a stupid video and they didn't care that they annoyed the hell out of the cat by tossing it around and spraying it with water and they are truly jerks because of it.

But they did not hurt the cat. They had no intention of hurting the cat.

For all those who are screaming for these little jerkwads to be tortured to death without even looking at the video for yourselves to see what actually happened, you should be ashamed of yourselves. These kids deserve to be punished for their desire to annoy the crap out of a cat for their own amusement and they should also be psychologically evaluated for their eagerness to film such a spectacle but they don't deserve the barbaric, knee jerk response they've been treated to by the mob.

Have some sense of PROPORTION, people.

Flame away.

Tell that to the cat.. Let's get the cats side of the story. I guess the cat read the script and he's going for the best distressed animal in a scene award.
