The C8 Z06 kicks the snot out of Ferraris which are 5 times as expensive. That being said, I've always preferred Jazz basses.

My first Bass was a sketchy POS. It must have been a Yugo.

My first was a no name 4001 copy with the weakest pickups ever made. It was a broke down Yugo.

I'd call a Rickenbacker a Ferrari as they are cool and iconic, but temperamental as hell. My Fenders always turn on a run and give me what I expect. My Rickenbacker not so much. Crappy input jacks (snap crackle and pop), crappy toggle switch (intermittant, no sound or lots of sound), I've leaned you simply don't touch that switch. Oh and I can be just a handful at times with that playing inhibitor in the way (mine's removed, duh!).
