This is a website filled with gear hungry individuals obsessed with playing, collecting, discussing, and arguing about anything bass related. A company pops up from out of the blue and offers an instrument which by many accounts, offers unprecedented quality at its price point. People are bound to get excited.
Finally an adult shows up!

Where can I find these superior instruments,I'd like to compare it to my Sire?

Oh, well-played. I can see the way this one comes out.

So... I can't play his basses and guitars... because I can't get one off the rack at a retailer.... so... how am I supposed to judge them when I might have to lay out "half a grand" or more without playing one... so... due to unavailability to me....... I can still judge them. The logical symmetry is painful.

"Half a grand" sound pretty impressively expensive though. Those damned high-priced Sires, out of the reach of most common folk. When will they make a budget Sire?

"It's probably this or that" and " it looks like from pictures" is what I am talking about. You might be right, but without having held one in your hands, don't you think it might be tough to say?

You're welcome not to like them. And, my daughter is welcome not to like spinach. But, until she tries spinach, I have a hard time accepting that she really knows whether she does or not.
I always liked spinach, I guess it was all the propaganda from the Popeye cartoons:cool: Jim

Can anyone comment on whether the Sire basses use faux digi-tort, pearl disguised as tort, or just plain old tort? It's hard to make out from even the websites non-close up images.

Faux digi-tort. It seems to have a pattern that is consistent across basses, but they have changed the digi-print at some point, as the earliest ones have a different pattern that what's going now.
