Too bad he couldn't break out of it. It can be done and I know people who have done it but you need a great support team and you have to learn to love yourself or it is over before it starts sad.

I'm not a Slipknot fan and offered little sympathy when Paul Gray died from drug use. I'm a *huge* AIC fan, and still offer little sympathy for self-inflicted death.
I don't mean to be "that guy", but I think we FAR too often overlook the horrible decisions these people make that lead to their demise. Starr got handed the ultimate consequence for his decision to continue to abuse substances.
So sad. He tried hard to kick his addiction and like his other bandmate it took him down. One of the best hard rock bassists of our time. "Would" will forever stand out as one of the best basslines IMO, its just sticks with you. RIP Mike.
