I love this bass, just the look of it. It's one of the many basses used by Toshiya of Dir en Grey, one of my influences on learning to play.

Yep, they did the offset blocks on the Session Series Basses. Now it looks like most of the newer Diamond Series Bass are getting the offset dots. Doesn't really bother me. I applaud them for doing something different.
All my Schecters are Traditional Dots but, I've added adhesive Blocks to 3 of them.

Don't know how I missed this one yesterday. Very interesting. Relic, roasted maple neck & MonsterTones. "J-4 Sixx" :hyper:

I feel you.
I was planning on getting a Fender Mike Dirnt next but, between this and the new Michael Anthony I'm not sure what I'll get next.

Jut curious, fretno, does that puppy have much neck dive?
none , it's feather weight and perfect ( 8 lb.s ) . She is a '96 U.S. "s" series . I had her refin'd by Mr. Wilkins ( original Schecter employee as you may know) a few years ago . The S series were originally oil finished in natural , like mine was , red & blue iirc . It has the most amazing neck !

Sounds fantastic. You are one lucky Schecter owner -- a beautiful instrument and a signature! Outstanding.
Thanks ! Yeah this is a fantastic bass . I scored at the 'ole Bass NW many years ago , man they used to have some great finds . Pat is super cool and last I spoke to him he was still doing finishes for the custom shop . Schecter , the early years... Some very talented folks working side by side .

Hey there! Anybody out there have a Schecter Scorpion 4 string? This one is tuned “B” on up. Had one back in the day, another “regret” on my part. Have seen a few available online, pictures do not look like the one I had. This is “bucket list” stuff for me, so don’t ask.

Seen a used one today on Guitar Centers website, cheap.
Played one in a Pawn Shop in Dayton, Ohio about 6 months ago. It was set up in low B and it was dirt cheap.

I contacted them a few days ago, and they were kind enough to send some additional pictures, etc. Taking all that into consideration. Could have sworn the one that I had was “string through “ on the body, and had a different bridge? My original was bought brand new online. Looking for something here a little better than player grade.

I just Googled "Schecter Scorpion Bass" then clicked on the Images and it shows at least 3 different models. One is a "Scorpion Tribal Bass" and it has white binding on the body with a bunch of inlays on the fretboard.

Also found this thread here on TB about identifying them.

Help identifying a Schector bass!

Are you looking for another Extra Long Scale(35") Scorpion to tune in BEAD or someting similar ?

If you want to check out other options, you may gather some info here in this TB Club.

The 'Official' 4 string extended scale bass club

If I needed to go BEAD, I'd set up my Extra Long Scale dUg Pinnick Baron H. with heavier strings.
