Hey guys

-After playing bass since 66,I've officially joined the Schroeder Club

this weekend-after trying out a 1210 and a 410-I had no problems

in making the choice of the 410-and am I in BASS Heaven

(or Bottom?

)! the 1210 just didn't have quite enough bottom at lower frequencies at higher volumes to my ear-and the 410's speakers were easily more efficient and louder at the same amp settings when switching back and forth between cabs leaving the amp on the same settings. At our very loud practice today I used a SWR 350( I'll be using this head for awhile till I find THE head to complement this incredible cab)and our band never sounded so good. The bass punched through so nice and fat and full without taking over the room and the tone was luscious without any and the distortion SWR was never turned up past 11:00 on the master and 12:00 on the gain. I just have to say one more time that Jorg has done a real favor to us bassists....I've never felt so exited and at peace at the same time about my rig since when I first got my first 2 Acoustic 360/361s in 1970-no worries about whether your rig will be up the challenges of practice and gigs and recording as well...now back to my amp decision...

could all you Schro 410 owners give me some advice on what amps you've been using and the pros and cons of each....I tried out a Yorkville 800 head and it was a little too cool,

distorted/harsh-not as warm as I hoped-though I'm not quite sure I got the hang of it because its got a lot of possible tweaking potential and I did like some of its sound-just not sure yet ....

so I do have an Eden 800 and a GK RB1000II nearby I can take my cab to try out-but I'm willing to try any reccomendations that sound promising-after all-this site helped me to find this cab. And,to any one out there who is even contemplating getting a Schroeder-STOP CONTEMPLATING

...and do your self a big favor and just go out and try one

out somewhere-

anywhere you can-you owe it to

YOURSELF! ....Peace...DAcat...
