I just got a 410 in trade recently and jeez... This thing is somethin' else. I'm only able to feed it about 1500W, but whew! When I get a Stewie 1.6 or 2.1 or something- look out!!

and I was smokin' full Hartke stacks 15 years ago with my mini Bag End stack
This is the sound I've been waiting for since I started playing! Big, thick and growly, clean, clear and tight, all at the same time. I was playing my Reverend tuned DGCF, and the low D was just thunderous. And this was at pretty low volume.. one o'clock on my Stewart 1.6, and barely nine o'clock on the RBI.
Amazing tone. I'm done buying amplification!

Just curious, are you running the Stew bridged?

muhhahahahahhaa.......I just played a gig with my 1212 and Tranyor YBA200.........That combination is class...............creammy and warm.......lol....I love the sounds...and its crystal clear... the best part is that I didnt even need to turn up pass 5 and I was overpowering both marshall stacks..and my hardcore...drummer...trully amazing.......every pennies are worth it IMO....
Just brought home my 1212 this thing is LOUD and full of crystal clear tone! 
Walls were shaking and the ceiling started to come down LOL. I have a show coming up this Saturday so it will be the perfect time to see what the Schro can do on stage - I hear this is where they really shine! I'll let everyone know how it goes.

Allright, I just picked up an iAmp 800 to go along with my 1210 and 1212, and I must say the combination is pretty thunderous. My other amp, an Eden WT-550 was nearly as loud though. I'd say either combination is a very loud combination for really not too much to carry.
I was getting some kinda shorting out yesterday. I have my bass (with newer batteries...so I don't think that was it?) plugged into a Dod 31 band eq, plugged into an Acoustic Image Focus 600 into the Schroeder 410...Same situation last week plugged into the 1210, so I deduced that it had to be either the eq or the AI having an issue. This also happened about 6 months ago too.
I decided this time to unplug the eq outta my signal chain, and guess what...the focus alone with the 410 sounded great. I flipped out...this has never happened to me in the last 15 years of playing where I could bypass my eq without it sounding really honky. This worked out great. It wasn't quite as much high end ping as I like but it certainly was liveable. I might have to put new strings on the Lull to get the highs back to where I like them, but if there's a possibility of eliminating my rack, power conditioner, and eq, well there's another 17 pounds I don't have to shlepp around!!!
I'm happy to hear that the Yorkville YBA 200 sounded great, creamy and loud with a Schroeder 1212. I'm thinking seriously of adding a 200 watt or more tube head but can't fathom paying for anything more than a grand....that kinda doesn't leave a whole lotta choices new does it, especially ones that don't weigh a ton?
Anyone play any other tube heads besides 400+ with their Schroeders that they would recommend?

I play a Peavey Classic 400 through my 1212, 1210 and mini12. This thing has 2x the KT88/6550 than the Traynor has. ~435 watts clean. Musiciansfriend just got a pallet of the last production run they blew out. Tagged from 2001 and blown out @ $599 NOS

I just got a Yorkville XS800H amp to power my new Schroeder 4 ohm 410-this seems to work well compared to other heads I tried. Its a hybrid head with 1 tube in the Preamp and you can either go full tube sound or full S/S or blend them in what ever % you wish. It has a "Tube Drive" control to push the "tube gain " sound further. It also has a Bass, Low-Mid, Parametric-Mid, High-mid,Treble, Effects, Gain, Master Volume and other controls not usually seen such as "Bass Drive, Bass Response, built-in compressor, and limiter as well as many other of the usual features on bass amps. It puts out 600W/800W/600W at 8/4/2 ohms. So-I'm only putting a puny 800 watts into my Schro 410 thats capable of handling 1400W. Well-I like it -I only got it 3 days ago -but I've had time to fiddle with the dials and play with the band and hears what I think. You can get either a very clear and clean,yet warm and luscious sound in the solid state mode. The pure tube sound is a bit too "tubey" for me-sound a little like Jack Bruce playing through his old Marshalls,but not that distorted.But not as articulate as I like to sound. I have so far settled for a combination tone that is somewhere near 50/50 tube and S/S-giving me the warmth,punch and fatness of a tube amp and the clarity and articulation of a good solid state amp. And my band loves the way it sounds. There is a plug in the back for a 2-button foot-switch (not included-? ) to be able to go from S/S-Tube and to turn off the "Tube Drive". All in all -the Yorkie has a huge tonal palatte that I've only just begun to explore (add my active bass EQ and PUPs on my Ibanez SR 900,and the tonal possibilities may take a while to figure out)-but I don't mind that,and it delivered more volume than I am ever going to need in the near future . This is a very nice looking, well built amp that I'm happy to say, sounds very excellent with the Schroeder Cabs-(but every amp I've played through my Schro has sounded better than it ever did before)-It has a 2 year warranty,and can usually be bought for around $670-$720 (list $1000) on the Net,or occassionly less on Ebay. I highly reccomend it...Peace...DAcat.

wait....DaCat....so, the yorkie actually can get tube-like sound of of the hybrid preamp. My hartke 3500 had tube and solidstate...but I could tell very little difference between the two and would not call the tube channel tube-like at all. (good sounding amp and tough, but not tube-like)
This was with both my 210XL and my 1210 after I got it.
I've been reluctant to try hybrids since...with the exception of when I was able to play am Mpulse 600 in a store...I would love to hear that through my 1210
Yeah SnoMan, it can come close to sounding like the Mpulse 600-except I've yet 
to get that pillowy, soft, warm, tone that the Mpulse can get, if ya know what I mean,... but in regards to the Yorkie,it sounds great, but again, everything sounds better through the Schroeder 410 cab that I've tried so far. Man,Sno....those four 10s really deliver a punch and move the pant legs ...Peace...DAcat
