KJung said:I love the slap sound with my 1210 with the optional tweeter. I like it so much that I just ordered a 1212 for my larger gigs. These cabs are really loud and sound great.

I thought, "I'll just read through it all before posting..." and so I have spent the last two days reading. Upon reaching page 27 i thought "I'll just see how many more to go..."
Well I nearly spat my tea all over the keyboard!!@!

I've now given up on the idea of reading it all.I'm now SERIOUSLY gassin' for a 1210 or a large box cab. I'm in the interesting position of being without a rig at the moment as I sold my AMPEG SVT3 and 410HLF cab to fund a ticket to Oz. The thing is, I won't be back in the UK until about September so I can write off buying one of these now (which is a very good thing seeing the state of my finances). However I'm already scheming ways of saving up the necessary cash to buy one of these and a suitable head (iAMP800?, DB750?).
I just LOVE the idea of turning up to a gig with a little box that does all that my Ampeg rig could do and more!!!No more back breaking lifting!
Dammitt. I got over my GAS about a year ago but now it's back with avengance. So... 2 questions:
1) Does anyone know if there are any of these cabs in the Sydney, Australia, area that the owner would kindly let me try out?
2) Has anyone had one of these shipped to the UK yet as I'm trying to figure out a cost (Not worth bothereing Jorg yet, I'm a way off buying one for the moment.)
Thanks for bearing with the waffle!(I just had a snooze BTW and I was dreaming of Schroeder cabs. How sad

Mohawk Freak said:Who would that be good sir? I know that peteybass was involved with this thread very early on and he's localto me. I checked his profile tho' and it didn't list a schroeder so I assumed that he either didn't buy one or didn't update his profile.
Mohawk Freak-youre in luck! I guess you hadn't heard, but Jorg recently started selling Schroeder cabs in Rosebery,Austrailia at Green Square Music, ph +61 2 9341 2237 (from Schroeder website)...and if you want to save some money on a head to allow you to get a Schroeder, get the cab first, you'll likely be happier with what ever amp you then try out later and decide to get-and you might even be able to get something alot less than the Aggi to drive it, ie, I can't imagine playing louder than I can right now with my Schro 410 and Yorkville XS800H amp that only cost me about $625 US including shipping-thats 800 watts at 4 ohms...Mohawk Freak said:Cheers mate. Will do.
Well if you don't like it come after meFretless5verfan said:Haha i'm getting it in 4ohms. It's gonna be my stand alone small-medium gig cab. If i need anything more later, i'm grabbing a NV215, and a "big box" schrodie if i like the slap sound i get out of it.
-I do like them -I had a hard time

choosing between a 410 and a 1210-I chose the 410 and its a bit of a beast to lug around(78 lbs)-though I never have regretted getting it-sometimes I think,"am I ever going to need all the volume this cabinet puts out and the 1210 would be so much easier to lug around"-having a 1210 and a 410 would make life "more than perfect" as my grandson likes to say.....

Hey Mohawk Freak-I was originally thinking the same way-but then when I ABed the 1210 and 410 next to one another-I loved the sound of the 1210-but then when I put the speaker cable into the 410 and left the amp on the same settings ,there was a clear difference-the 410 was definately louder(by my ears aboutMohawk Freak said:Pretty much the same dillemma I'm facing. I'm thinking that the 1210 would be a good start with a second 1210 later if I need it. I just LURVE the idea of these tiny cabs moving everyones' internal organs!![]()
Damn this GAS!
