Second date

Thanks, good advise. Perhaps I am thinking too much into it and getting caught up in it too much...however I think behind it all is I am just really into this girl. She is smart, funny, friendly and is a professional with goals and a great plan in life. Of course like I said we have only known each other/dating for a month. I guess I am just attracted to her more so then all the other girls before. We have had no talks about if we see this becoming a future together or anything, might be a little too soon for that however I just enjoy being around her and with her as she makes me feel good and a feeling I have not felt in a long time. I know school is stressful for her and busy I get that and she just wants to be done (who doesn't by senior year right). But I graduated college and know not a lot about the law program so I've just showed caring and offer confidence boosting comments to her out of support.

All in all I can and will be friendly to her friends but in reality I am dating her and not her friends so although girls talk the best I can do is just keep being myself and honest with her as I have been as I feel that is what she is attracted to from the start. I should look at the bright side too that she has been introducing me to her friends, if she did not like me at least a little she would probably not of done that or even we would of been done by the first or second date.

Even if she gets home later today and we are not able to hang out tonight I wont get mad but simply just understand and casually say alright to it. Not sure if she/we would do anything for St. Pat's and like I said my birthday is Wednesday but she leaves that day. My idea of a gift bag is just a nice perhaps romantic gesture as I know she has been stressing about this competition for a while. Just a simple little gift bag of a few sodas some snacks and perhaps a small bottle of liquor just to make herself feel good if not a little and that I am thinking of her.

I have been with the same woman for 15 years, my advice: Be you ( honest) from the very first day, be a gentleman, be a lover in bed, be a handy man, work hard so your woman feel safe... Did I told you to work hard? Since this is your second date all I can tell you is to be honest so you don't to fix crap later.

Good advice and I have been myself and honest with her, I have seen too many guys feed women lies and unless they are just stupid the woman almost always finds out. We pretty much made it a clear point on our first date to be honest with each other and pretty open. It's actually we have had about 7-8 dates now or if you could a few dates in there where we did multiple things and spent the better part of the whole day together I suppose you could say it's around 10 dates.

I went to the store late night and bought a bag, small bag of cookies, bag of tradition Chex mix, a small bottle of Diet Coke and Captain Morgan (rum and diets are her favorite hard alcohol drink). I wrote a little note about "good luck in Cali and see her when she gets back and also mentioned happy one month it's been since we known each other already and how I have enjoy it so far." Figured while she is at class tonight I would drive over to her house and slip it inside her screen door so it's there waiting for her when she gets home. Like I said this competition in Cali has really weighed on her and she has been working a lot of preparing and getting ready for it. So I figure this is a good way to show my support and also it being a small romantic gesture.

If you overthink it too much, you have to give up your man card. Be nice to her and don't worry much, just like you are doing. If that doesn't work, then nothing else would have.

For what it's worth, my wife made me really work to get her! It was worth it. She had me from the get-go, although I'm not sure she knew that.

Go somewhere where you can talk. Chicks love that communication sole connection crap. As a young man I used to stress this as I am not that talkative until a good friend clued me into the secret. Just ask her questions and let her talk and talk and talk and talk. And try not to stare at her boobs when she talks, they don't like that.

Good points and yes I'll be the first to admit at this point I am probably making all this a bigger deal then it needs to be. I need to take a breath and step back a few steps and quick worrying and relax, things are going good. This week is kind of a wash for seeing her before she leaves on Wednesday because I work during the day and so does she but then she has class at night. Hence my gift bag idea and I am hoping that really hits home for her and a homer for me and also to let her know how much I truly care and like her but without verbally coming out and saying it.

We had not talked for a few days and have not hung out since last Friday. She leaves tomorrow for Cali until Sunday, I ended up taking the gift bag over and dropping it off at her house last night when she was away at class. I put it inside her screen door so it would not be stolen. Around 10 last night she texted me "I just got home to a pleasant surprise, thank you so much! That was really sweet!" Just like that. It was late so I simply replied when I got up for a drink "You are welcome" with a smiley. This morning I then text'ed her more about how I am glad she liked it and wanted to show her I thought about her and just wanted to put a smile on her face in wake of all the stress of her school and such. And how we'll have to get together when she gets back so she can tell me how it all went.

I have not heard back from her, however she had class this morning and also work this afternoon and has class again tonight. I do not plan on hearing from her or me bothering her through the week when she is out of town and just let it go until she gets back. I have mentioned seeing her and wanting to hang out when she gets back so I'll leave it at that and not beat it into her. Tomorrow is my birthday, I know not to beat myself up but a small test is if she even remembers as I have mentioned it a few times. It's a small thing but would show she cares. The other problem is right now there is not too much going on around my area and I am running out of weekend date ideas for us too.

How exactly is she making openings for me? Keep in mind we have known each other a month and have gone out on numerous dates. If you are referring to this, we have not had an "lets be exclusive" chat yet, but I have totally made it clear to her from the get go I am not looking for friends and we're still talking. I don't want to scare her away by bring that up too early either. Not to make excuses for myself or her but I know school is really kicking her a** right now and I also don't want to scare her off by being too needy or clingy as needing to be with her or do something every day. I'll just let it go, hopefully things will be more lax after she is done with this law team and the competition this weekend.

Wuss? The first time I slept over she informed me while we were making out and "dry humping" that it was not going to go further and that was after our second time out. The other time I slept over was after a night of drinking and a very late night/early morning and both of us were hungover and needless to say she was not in the mood.
