Show me your compact pedalboard setup

IMG_20200116_162229787.jpg

Shi.... er...Evolution happens, yeah that's better. Decided to make this a mo' fun little board. Digi BSW, Digi CM2, Ictineo, MS60B.

Another update... I'm not really sure if this still counts as compact, tho. Maybe if I say it's compact in spirit? :whistle:

I switched the Corona and the Phase 95 right after taking the pic lol, so the actual chain goes like this:

Tuner -> MXR Envelope -> SubNUp -> NS2 -> ( NS2 Send -> MXR Comp -> VMT -> X7 -> Nano Muff -> NS2 Return )-> Phase 95 -> Corona -> [Empty space for one last pedal...for now]

I should've mentioned, I have a pack of 10 gold-tipped EBS flat patch cables (I did waaay too much research on this kind of thing). But thanks! Any other advice before I go about doing this? Literally my first time putting together a pedalboard

The trial and error if half the fun. I myself love putting together a board, trying it out at band practice, and then reworking it afterwards. Don't think I've had the same board twice at practice. :)

What are people using as an always on boost? I have been using the germanium boost in my wren and cuff super Russian but I’m considering shaking that up. I love the tone enhancing of the germ boost but the whole pedal is a little big and I may add a week and cuff civil war with a blend.

I have 2 on my board, both smaller enclosures...5th gear and an SV boost. SV was an always on for a while. Not sure if they will both stay as things are ever changing.

Near the front is a Full size Spark currently,
Previously a VT Bass.

The boost on my Empress ParaEQ hangs out towards the rear and is starting to get more use as I get more comfortable with it.

I usually just ask the singer if i could borrow their mic, kinda like this

I was hoping I could get some advice from you Tetris wizards: below is loosely what I'd like my board to look like (just received the metro 20 about 5 min before I took the pic). I'll be powering them off of my Truetone Cs6. Any advice for cabling? And does anyone here do the masking/painters tape trick before applying Velcro to prevent residue? View attachment 3669811

That really is tetris. I think you would have to get cables with the smallest metal angles to have them fit comfortably in the bag.

I made the board to fit an aluminum case that I picked up at a yard sale for five bucks.

That is exactly what i did! It felt like a waste spending lots of money for something i could make. I literally bought a case from a thrift store, then some wood from a hobby store and stained the wood black. Total cost was around $15. Hardest part is finding the right case for you. I have a small one and a bigger one that i change as I like. Like $25 for both. The pedals on the other hand...
