Good point, Billy. In my case, however, I already have the entire garage. Her new car sleeps OUTSIDE! So it's only fair that she gets dibs on the inside. It's the little tradeoffs you make in life that allow a 37-year-long marriage to endure.

I've been married almost 32 years and find it necessary to (as my brother in law puts it) waive the BS flag now and then just so she doesn't take over everything!

I'm fortunate to have a basement where I can claim some floor space (I have few personal belongings on the first or second floors of our house). If I didn't have a basement and I needed first floor space for me gear, I probably wouldn't push back as much.

I just showed the wife your pic (again, since she doesn't remember the last time I showed her) to give some perspective regarding my pile o' gear, which is nowhere near as voluminous (or as neatly stashed) as yours.

simple 2 car garage(12 foot ceilings) that I have converted into a jam space/recording studio , plenty of room for activities! this winter a booth and vocal isolation will be going in as well
