My most recent streetbike (sold it 7 yrs ago when I became a father).... even if I could never ride it again, I'd be happy just to start it up and listen to it run for a few minutes . I don't have pics of everything, but I've owned 2 trials bikes, 2 street bikes, 2 dirt bikes, and my son has a PW50 and growing into a PW80.

Harleys, etc. may sound tough, but Ducatis sound sexy. Those of you who know, you know what I mean ;).

That thing looks like a total blast. I would love to have a scrappy little dirt bike. Can I come over and ride it?

Sure, it's not like I have to worry about resale value :D

OTOH, one thing about dualsports is that when you tell a girl you have a motorbike, they assume it's a shiny new big Suzuki streetbullet. Then you show them a scrappy dirtbike and wait for the 'you have to be joking/not getting on that piece of crap' -expression.. :ninja: :p

Yessir, we have some nice spots here.

In those pics, I can't see pavement tho: I see forest roads I wanna go play on...where is that?

BoomBoom: nice bit of kit there.

1987 yamaha ysr-50 (street legal minibike with fully tweaked 1976 yz 80 engine and a bunch of fancy parts), less than 2200 original miles (strictly for recreational riding since it makes you smell like a weedwhacker and could be stolen by anyone with a honda civic)

30" tall, 170 pound bike with 73" tall, 240 pound rider = infinite HEHEHEEE

Awesome!
I want one.
How fast does it go?

a lightly modded 50cc can do around 60-65mph, mine does around 70 with my fat and bulky ass on it (and gets there pretty quick)...they were sold in the US from 87-92 as a sort of alternative to mopeds/scooters, intended for students and so on (rated for a 150 pound rider)

they are a blast to ride since they are so small and light (seat height is 24" off the ground) and turn more heads than a monkey riding an elephant

Finally my bike is fully functional and repaired. Took it out for my very first ride Sunday with my dad. We rode again last night, with my girlfriend riding as Dad's passenger.

Neither of us we expecting to take so long to get it up and running, but we kept running into problems.

All we had to was:
Have the tank boiled to remove the crappy old liner
Have tank repainted
Recover the seat
Find side covers
Replace left hand electrical stuff (headlight decided to no longer work after a day)
Replace the flasher relay
New tires and battery
Replace master cylinder
Carb work

Just small little stuff that ended up taking too long. Now I leave for school tomorrow and I can't take the bike. Dad is making me do at least 500 miles before he lets me take it away haha.

Big air cooled BMW fan; nice bike!
Simple, easy to maintain, great, quality product that will serve you well for many years.
Excellent!
