I’m not sure if Mathew has added the specific firmware for it yet on the 3xl, but it’s supposed to be coming if it isn’t there. You could probably get away with using the “general midi” for c4 and get by with preset scrolling then. I know general midi worked for my hub before he added support for it.

You can use the usb MIDI right now... MIDI to Neuro Hub doesn’t work yet, or you can use a USB MIDI host for the C4 and then use standard 5 Pin.

There is a firmware update for the C4, unfortunately it triggers w/ PC which means you’ll need to use usb MIDI or get a host (for 5 pin). The Hub won’t pass PC to the C4.

I was referring to the dmc, I know the micro has the data to control c4, but I don’t know if he’s updated the 3xl to contain that file. I’ve had decent luck in the past using the general midi file, though I think the timeline or big sky or mobius files will also work, as most of the important CC messages that the dmc controls directly are the same as the SA pedals. Should only need the ghost adapter then, but best to use the actual files on nice they’re in there.

C4 is in the house! But I have to wait until lunchtime to try it out. :hyper:
I did hook it up to my computer and downloaded the Boogie On patch, ear unheard. (auditory equivalent to sight unseen).
Y'all were right, it really wasn't hard.

First impression - WOW! With minimal tweaking (setting sensitivity and volume via the Neuro desktop) the Boogie On patch sounds GREAT! Totally usable for tomorrow.
I'll need lots more time auditioning patches and learning to make my own. But for a "hit the ground running" result from a pedal with a "prepare to take some time getting good sounds" reputation, this was a home run.

These are the types of sounds that i like. Would love to hear more fast envelope, analogue style 80s bass sounds if possible.

Also anyone who can compare the tracking to the FI, that would be awesome. I make pretty simple bass patches in the vein of old school 80s, so i look for really good tracking, a nice envelope response and some analogue thickness.

Got my Midi Baby today to control the C4 settings. Having a hard time getting the programming right. Basically I just want to cycle through 8 presets with the 8 different color LEDs that stay on while I’m playing. I have no experience with programming MIDI devices and after playing around with it I’m still not sure what I’m doing. Is there a file available that I could just download into my Mac and then upload into the pedal? Lastly, I hooked up the Baby to the pedal when I though it was right then i unhooked it and hooked it back up to the Mac and now it’s “not recognized as a MIDI Baby”. Pretty much confused and frustrated at this point.

Give me a week and I’ll be able to test, midi baby is inbound. I think the quick startup guide for the midi baby explains exactly how to set it for your planned use. But have to figure out why it’s not recognized by your Mac. Maybe try a different usb cable. Also make sure your using a chrome browser, I believe that’s what DA suggests.

I have it working now. What it does now is cycle through the 6 presets but it doesn't do all eight yet and the color LED doesn't change and it doesn't stay on so you have to just guess where you are at any given time. It's ok for now but I need it to work better and I am sure it's me. The quick start guide was not all that helpful to me. If you don't know what all the things mean, then it's hard to decipher what controls what. Again, I am MIDI dummy so it's definitely my fault but I wish it was a little easier. If anyone is using the MIDI Baby for C4 and cares to export their program file and send it to me, I would be very appreciative.
