Interesting question! Try one of the phaser settings on the BEF with 40% negative filter sweep and a slow attack. I bet that would get you a bit of the sounds you're looking for.

I used to have a Conklin 5-string fretless...I swear it had a phaser built into its preamp.

So hey, good settings. Thanks! But what really put it over the top was me pulling off my singer's dirty sock and jamming it into the bridge :)

huh. you know what would be pretty cool? i haven't even got mine in yet so i dunno if y'all did this, but a power out as well and maybe a little nothed area so you could keep a wireless ring on on there, always charging.

i wanted two rings anyways, but having one that's secured to the board as an Always Ready To Go one in case the one in use dies because i forgot to charge it or i space and leave i somewhere would be neat, and what i was going to try to setup. but dockin it into the interface would be NICE.

I rigged up this little thing for that exact purpose:

Between the Oxide and the Orbit, I took an insert for a pocket door (the circle with the X in it) that was roughly the diameter of a finger (well, mine at least). You can see the HH ring sitting on it just behind the old receiver. I wrapped the bottom in electrical tape and velcroed it onto my board. I then snaked the DC plug for the Hot Hand near the bottom of it, so I could have a "seat" for the ring with the power plug near the bottom for quick charging while I wasn't using it...good times!

So I am playing around with my HH (wired) and the effects/sweeps just are not as dynmic or exaggerated as Will's in the Dubstep Bass vid on youtube. He is barely moving his thumb and getting massive sweeps, whereas I am moving my hand like a foot, in all kinds of directions and it is barely making any difference. I pressed and held the calibrate button on the BEFPRO, and tried 2 different rings....(one of the older wired and also a newer wired) and it isn't making any difference. Any ideas?

Question for all of you: do you use the LFO feature on the BEF Pro? Should we include an LFO in the Soundblox2 BEF if it makes the interface complicated? Or, is having a clean interface the most important? I know some of you find the BEF Pro a bit complicated. Input on this would be very helpful.

Okie folks, here's the problem.

I get a massive increase in volume each time I activate the MWBD pro. Does anyone know how I can better balance the distortion level and my clean tone level?

Help, suggestions greatly appreciated.

Rob

Look here
http://www.sourceaudio.net/products/soundblox_pro/multiwave_bass_distortion.php

you have two volume knobs, just turn them until you like the volume. The top right knob is your clean volume and the knob below that controls the wet signal volume, i.e. the distorted sound.

With these two knobs you can choose any volume you like. Just be sure to save your settings once you found a good volume. If you push any of the foot buttons before saving, your settings will be overwritten.

If you only want the distorted sound - with no clean bass signal in it - just turn the upper right knob completely counter-clockwise (so no clean amount at all) and then adjust the lower right knob until you get the volume you like. Then save it to the present by holding the corresponding foot button for some seconds (the start to blink rapidly when its done).

I have a different problem though. One of the foot switches of my MWBD Pedal seems to be broken. Feels and sounds just like any of the other foot switches, but the LED won't light up and the effect does'nt trigger, on both preset sets (in this case it's 1 and 4, the left button). Is there anything i can do, or do i have to send it in to repair?
